The Bottom of the Rabbit Hole
Following on from the "Down the Rabbit Hole" post... life hasn't gotten any less hectic.
However, I'm slowly closing in on what I'm trying to do... and that's got to be good, right?!
I've taken heed to some of the comments I received - I'm keeping my credit card firmly locked away so I'm not tempted to buy every item that hits my FOMO radar. Of course, being on my desktop computer most of the time, I've got access to the information I need, thanks to LastPass and the various other password-saving inventions that abound online...
So it's really all up to self-discipline. What do I NEED to have at my disposal to ensure that I'm focused on the ONE THING that will move me forward?

That's a BIG question. How do we really KNOW what we NEED?
I think we find it by trial and error.
I know we're all moving in various circles - business and personal - and we're all trying to figure out what the best formula is for success in the online space.
To find that formula takes time, effort, and persistence. We have to give what is needed.
Affiliate marketing is a HUGE, vast arena. There are so many different ways to approach it.
Blogging is one of the "easiest" ways - assuming we can come up with something to say. It's not always easy to come up with topics, though, is it? We search for keywords, we struggle to make something worthwhile to post, and then we have to find a way to link it to whatever we're promoting.
Those of us who are promoting multiple products (read: EVERYONE) have to do this over and over again, because we can't possibly use all the keywords in one article. (Why would we want to, you might ask?) Of course you wouldn't want to... I'm just saying it's a never-ending cycle. And that's what makes it fun, right?
So - I called this "The Bottom of the Rabbit Hole". I think I've hit the bottom. As I've mentioned numerous times, I've got my fingers in many pots... full-time employment, podcasting, affiliate marketing, course creation, retirement lifestyle coaching, and now I'm even learning Spanish in my "free time"...
something has to give.
I wish it could be the full-time employment, but that's what pays the bills right now.
I've managed to accept that I need to work on one thing at a time... I knew that ages ago, but picking which of the things was going to be the "one thing" was boggling me.
I'm not going to drop the podcasting - I'm really enjoying it and it's a great medium for advertising my various offerings. I've never been accused of being "wise"...
However... I've got a new light bulb and it's still intact. I think it might even be lit!
If I were wise, I'd be using the podcast transcripts to create my blog posts and content for other media... saving me oodles of time and energy. So, yeah, I've hit the bottom of the rabbit hole... Now it's time to focus.

That sounds like a great plan. I think this whole adventure of online endeavors is a giant rabbit hole. lol. The ideas will keep on coming. But I like that you have focus and know you can't do everything at once. Well, maybe. :p Great post. Thank you.
Hi Jacquie
That sounds like an excellent decision. Creating posts from your podcast transcripts is a great idea and provides external links too.
Having recently followed each other I must take a look at your blog posts!
:-)
