Bootcamp – Week 10 Update (Overview + Full Results Link)
This past week was the Black Friday sprint, the one week where the ad auction gets wild, attention spikes, and every creative either sinks or swims. Instead of running one or two tests, I pushed a full stack of 11 ads between my 0 to 100K page and my personal profile to see what actually holds up when competition is at its highest.

Here is the short version of what Week 10 taught me:
1. Black Friday is chaotic but the right stories still cut through
The ads that worked were not hype driven.
They were grounded in real people, real timelines, and real situations.

The trades backup plan angle.
The reminder that most people do not fail because they lack ability, they fail because they stop.
These consistently outperformed louder, more aggressive creatives.
Honest stories travel farther.
2. Landing page views stayed extremely cheap even in peak competition
Across all 11 campaigns:
- Total spend: $539.15
- Total landing page views: 9,276
- Average: about $0.06 per landing page view
- Several ads landed in the 3 to 4 cent range, including one that delivered 2,321 LPVs by itself
During Black Friday week, these numbers are not normal.
Most advertisers watch their costs triple.
This week proved the framework holds under pressure.
3. My best performers were not the ones I predicted
A few of the ads I assumed would be support pieces ended up becoming the main drivers.
The simple sticky note ad, The “final 3 days” reminder, Jay’s strategy recap, Roy’s long term consistency story.
Meanwhile, some of the more complex visuals sat in the middle.
Clear takeaway: simple and honest wins more often than highly produced.
4. Analytics showed where the real readers came from
Google Analytics did not behave the way I expected.
Certain countries stayed on page far longer.
Readers from trades, parents, and overloaded workers spent noticeably more time reading the content.
It confirmed what the ads hinted.
People respond best when the message speaks directly to the life they already live.
5. The entire ecosystem is finally moving in one direction
Aside from running ads, I also:
- Published two major 0to100K articles
- Launched a new Kindle ebook
- Updated all my social profiles (FB, X, LinkedIn, Earthbound, RV page)
- Rebuilt banners and descriptions to match where this project is heading
When someone clicks an ad now, they land inside a system that feels consistent and intentional.
It finally matches the direction of the bootcamp work.

Sounds to me like you got a lot of information from this work though, and that is what matters - connecting to the people and answering their questions/problems is the way forward, I think.
