Entering My 12th Year at Wealthy Affiliate – Here’s Why I’m Still Here
I thought I would post this blog post to encourage members who maybe haven't signed up to Premium membership at Wealthy Affiliate. I am now entering my 12th year at Wealthy Affiliate, I can't believe where the time has gone!
Why I Have Stayed For 11+ Years
I first joined Wealthy Affiliate in November 2014, the main purpose for me joining was to get the up-to-date training and to be able to stay up-to-date with everything that's going on in the Internet marketing world. However, I quickly became aware how useful it is to be part of a friendly and like-minded community and the benefits of being able to ask questions, etc. I was actually making money when I first joined the community, but I really feel it's good to be around like-minded people.
In the past, I have heard people say that the training is not always up-to-date, however, I am aware that this is a time-consuming business and I know that Kyle and the team, try their hardest to keep things up to date. Although things in the Internet marketing world constantly change, even older training can still have a lot of relevance. . However, I am fully aware that now the training is kept up-to-date and new training is being added regularly, which is fantastic.
If you're a beginner at Wealthy Affiliate, this is a great way to gain knowledge about Internet marketing, seriously quickly. If you want a clear path about how to build an online business, you have arrived at the right place! Another important thing to remember is that many platforms have up-sells, but Wealthy Affiliate does not have anything like this, everything is included and everything is there to help you create a successful online business.
I know that some people joined Wealthy Affiliate for the hosting, which I fully understand, but I joined for the training. However, the hosting really is a great-added bonus, which I do use. I really appreciate this feature which means you can literally build a website in WordPress in probably under a minute, no technical knowledge needed, which is ideal for people like me!
It's also very good to have a roadmap, especially for beginners. The training videos are set out in order, so that no vital steps are missed. One of the latest features is earning as you learn, obviously cannot make a living from this feature, but it's a nice little bonus that will probably pay for my subscription each year. This isn't meant to make you a living or something that's there to be abused, it's just kind of a bonus to encourage you to keep moving forward, which is an added benefit.
Advice For New Members
If you are new here at Wealthy Affiliate, don't try and overthink things too much, just get straight in to the training and follow each video step-by-step. And don't focus too much on statistics, just follow the training and keep moving forward.
One thing that's important to remember is that Wealthy Affiliate is not a get rich scheme, it's a platform that teaches you how to create an online business. Sadly, it seems that in the Internet marketing world, many people think that they can create an online business overnight, I'm afraid this rarely happens! It's something where you have to keep building and keep trying to do something every day or certainly regularly and consistently.

Now is a great time to upgrade as there is a 58% saving, which for me, living in the UK works out at just slightly over £1 per day, which is pretty good. To be fair, there are not many days when I'm not on the platform, so I definitely get my moneys worth.

Lots of things are happening at Wealthy Affiliate, so get ready for 2026 and enjoy the ride. I think one of my favourite tools at the moment, which is within the platform is the Image Studio, I can't believe how effective it is and quick. I'm using it to build my YouTube thumbnails on a daily basis.

Your reminder about the use of image studio and the ease of creation on WordPress is reassuring and valuable, especially for beginners who are still hesitant. I wanted to try and encourage people who were perhaps thinking about joining or staying at Wealthy Affiliate and encourage them to really make the most of the platform.
One of the great things with Wealthy Affiliate is, that we are provided with everything that we need to create an online business, don't need anything else to move forward. I appreciate that as a business grows there are things that we use, like an email responder and video editing software, etc, but even those tools aren't silly money.

The software I use for creating videos, is something that I have used for many years, Claude. I think there are a lot more to choose from now, however, I started with Camtasia, and I still use the software and I'm more than happy with it. They also offer good support, which is great. The good thing is about Wealthy Affiliate is that I have seen people come here with no knowledge and become highly successful, quite quickly. Especially a few young people who perhaps are living at home and have no expenses, they have been able to push forward really quickly, which is wonderful.

I do value the benefits that Wealthy Affiliate brings and the proper training, as I learnt the hard way, which is a lot more expensive than paying a subscription fee! Yes, I agree with you, it appears that there is a lot of training out there that goes for a lot more money and with plenty of upsells!
I always think it is good to be able to promote something that we have confidence in Dave, I can potentially promote Wealthy Affiliate with great confidence, knowing that it's a good product.
