For Your Doubters

I am spending more time on Wealthy Affiliate and I spoke with someone stuggling with her work and ready to throw in the towel. She inspired me to write this:

Dreamers and hustlers: I’m writing this for you. You who are going through your struggles or have felt imtimidation and have had doubters. Doubters and haters are you best medicine; they fuel your fire.

I wanted to send a message for you because you’ll be too busy enjoying your success when you’re there. I’d much prefer you not waste your time with doubters and haters. You’ll be too busy forgetting who they were when you’re where you want to be. Let them read this instead.

While I’m pursuing my dream…

Tell me that my dreams are too crazy.

Tell me how tough my profession is and how hard it is out there.

Tell me the economy can’t permit my desires.

Tell me I have a problem working all of the hours I do.

Don’t laugh with me. Laugh AT me.

Tell me I’m a fool. Talk behind my back.

Think that I’m weird. Think that I’m crazy.

Because when my dreams come true, you turn into a foolish doubter, and I turn into a genius.

Because when my profession was tough, I made it while you sit back and realize all you ever did was fold.

Because when the economy dictated what you do in my life, the economy never measures the unknown. I became that unknown.

Because while you gossiping and watching everyone else take action, I was busy creating my legacy.

Because while you were laughing at me, I got the last laugh…and I laughed the hardest.

Because where you once thought I was a fool, who’s the fool now?

Because now that I’m on top, my weird and crazy became respect, while your normal became self-pity and loathing.

And once I’m where I want to be…

Tell me I’m self-centered.

Tell me I’ve changed.

Tell me I’m not generous with my wealth.

Tell me I’m not that good.

Tell me I’m arrogant.

Tell me I’m not sociable.

Because while I focused on myself, you don’t even know who you are.

Because while I changed, you stayed the same.

Because my savvy in wealth outdoes your foolish spending.

Because if I’m not good, who are you?

Because while you mistake my confidence for arrogance, I don’t mistake your loathing for credible opinion.

Because while you’re socializing with doubters, I’m socializing with champions.

Engage and Captivate.
