What should I do with my stimulus and unemployment money?
Would my company call me back to work or what?
I have been thinking about what to do with my stimulus and unemployment money. I can tell you that I am losing sleep over this pandemic situation. Would I still have my job when everything gets back to normal?
Because we are leaving in a scary time, I need to take a step back to rethink my strategies. My job is being furloughed, I don’t even know what that means.
Yeah - True case of analysis paralysis!
My job keeps sending to all of its employees a list of places that are hiring, does that mean we do not know where to look for jobs. Is it possible they don’t want us to go for unemployment ? Are they looking for proof that they do the best they can to help us out finding jobs, but we refused to take advantage of it.?
Are they working together with the labor department or what? I don’t even get a paycheck yet from them, but there are jobs splashing all over the labor dpt. website for me to apply to.
S&P 500 degraded my company to the lowest point ever, on top of that, the CEO is supposed to step down in no time. I was reading an article online that my company really needs a miracle.
Can you see trouble on the horizon!
Now back to what I was saying, should I save my stimulus money for rainy days or should I invest it in something that will give me a good ROI?
I just found out a similar company to mine is going to file for bankruptcy asap.
Alright, now what are my options?
- Let's explore a few things here!
- Create a shopify website to sell stuff.
- Buy some good domain names and save them for later to sell or to promote.
- Buy already established websites and keep them or sell them.
- Register for a training course so I can be prepared for something else.
- Hire a writer to keep my site professionally up to date.
- Buy ads to bring some traffics to my site.
Oh wait!
I am not supposed to have an income while I am collecting unemployment right!
What if my business takes off and I start seeing profits.
You see, you get punished for being a good citizen.
Remember the whole saying nice guys finish last!

Build your online business. If you start earning you can deduct what you are paying for WA fees, your internet fees...etc so you won't have an actual profit to worry about for awhile.
Get answers to your questions. What is furlough? Is that the same as being unemployed so you can get benefits. Take the benefits and build your site. Save the Stimulus until you really need it for yourself or your business. Get some stability first.
