Types of feedback that really tick me off
I rarely ever listen to feedback, it's not because I'm a rebel or a hard head. I simply put my page in the feedback section to get visits or to see if I'll ever get lucky and get good feedback plus I want to build up my site health. More often than not the feed back is awful! It's not because they are being honest it's because the feedback is lazy and done with poor tact.
I once had a visitor say there were some grammar errors and asked if they could send them to me privately. The visitor was honest about the errors and wanted to help this was a rare example of quality feedback and so I accepted it without a problem.
As I said before most of the feedback is worse than the pages people are giving feedback on. Some visitors are opinionated, negative and just downright lazy. Now I'm lazy too don't get me wrong but it's hard giving feedback half of the time
Here are some examples of bad feedback I received.
(1) I think, this is the worst way to go about feedback with I think and then go onto say the layout is not to our taste. It's stupid because it's opinionated feedback and not even helpful to start with. It looks even stupider from my end when a majority say the layout is perfect for the page. On the contrary saying, have you tried experimenting with other layouts, this type of feedback is very helpful because it is not giving an opinion but food for thought.
(2) Your page looks perfect so I had to dig deeper, this is basically another way of saying I had to find something wrong with it. This is poor tact from the person giving feedback. It is better put the way I saw up further. The one person was willing to help and see success the other was simply looking to find failure. There is a big difference.
(3) I got feedback from a person telling me that the younger generation wasn't going to go for vintage movies and they were the majority. The person went on to say that I may not drive as much traffic for revenue or affiliate sales because the younger generation doesn't go for vintage movies. An opinion and a false one, I'm a millennial and know plenty my age who enjoy vintage movies, this was feedback in very poor taste.
Now these are just a few examples, I'm not perfect at giving feedback but bad feedback is a pet peeve of mine and I want to challenge others as well as myself included to do their damnedest to give helpful feedback like the kind person I mentioned in the beginning. I'm sick and tired of the bad ones that are lazy and useless or in poor taste! This is not a complaint but a request from me to the whole WA community!

All the time I've been here, my feedback percentage is 0% because I've never asked for it lol.
This is because of the reasons you've outlined.
Personally, I think feedback should be reserved for the WAers who have gone through ALL of the training here, so they know what they're talking about and can give you more in-depth feedback that adds value.
One of the other main reasons why I'm not bothered about feedback is because I've followed Kyle's training exactly how it's laid out, and my site is how it should be.
Jose, agree with your comments fully. I get the impression that some people go through the process of giving "feedback" so they will get feedback on their site.
I haven't used the feature to get feedback all that often, because I found that very little was something that I could act on. I don't want to know my site looks great, if you like it tell me what you like about it, give me something that I can build on.
Hopefully the community can lift and provide each other with quality and critical feedback.
