I have 3600 friends on facebook that I want to export to my autoresponder and email list. Not all my friends have their emails in the conversations, so would I have to ask eac

The most direct way to gauge their interest would be to create a Facebook business page and then see how many are actually interested and engaged with it. Facebook followers will rarely dive all in into someone’s business that doesn’t have much to do with their interests, and the quickest way to lose them as friends altogether is to start spamming them from an email list they don’t actually have interest in. 👍🏼Build it right and you’ll get much better results.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your question. The best thing you can do is invite your friends to join a mailing list via an opt-in link. No mailer that I know accepts to import a list. If you don't have the means to invite your friends to join you on whatever business opportunity you would like to show them, I suggest that you contact me at: john@easytoretire.com

John 😀

If they follow you, you could use the @followers prompt to send a message to them all, asking for them to DM you their address and consent, but I doubt you'll get 3,600 replies.

Really? And how exactly?

You just write a Facebook post and include the @followers tag. The post will reach anyone who follows you.

Facebook’s @followers feature allows Page administrators to notify all their followers simultaneously by tagging them in a post or comment. This can be particularly useful for sharing important updates, promotions, or announcements. Here’s how to use it:

Using @followers in a Post:

1. Create a New Post: Navigate to your Facebook Page and click on the “Create Post” section.

2. Compose Your Message: Write the content you wish to share with your followers.

3. Tag Followers: Within your message, type @followers. Facebook will recognize this tag and notify all individuals who follow your Page.

4. Publish the Post: Once you’re satisfied with your message, click “Post” to share it.

Using @followers in a Comment:

1. Find the Relevant Post: Locate the post where you want to notify your followers.

2. Write a Comment: In the comment section, type your message and include @followers where appropriate.

3. Post the Comment: Click “Enter” or “Post” to publish your comment.

Important Considerations:

• Usage Limit: Facebook restricts the use of the @followers tag to once per day to prevent overuse and potential annoyance to followers.
• Notification Preferences: Followers will receive notifications based on their individual settings. Some may receive push notifications, while others might see it in their notification center or via email.
• Content Relevance: Use the @followers tag judiciously. Overusing it for non-essential updates can lead to notification fatigue, causing followers to mute notifications or unfollow your Page.

Best Practices:
• Reserve for Important Updates: Utilize the @followers tag for significant announcements, limited-time offers, or critical information that benefits your entire audience.
• Maintain Engagement: Monitor the engagement levels on posts where you’ve used the @followers tag. If you notice a decline in interactions or an increase in unfollows, reassess your strategy.
• Transparency: Inform your audience about how and when you’ll use the @followers tag. Setting expectations can help maintain trust and reduce potential irritation.

By thoughtfully incorporating the @followers tag into your Facebook strategy, you can effectively communicate with your audience without overwhelming them.

Do you have their email addresses, and do you also need their consent to decide whether they want or don't want to subscribe to your newsletter or broadcast?

The consent is mandatory.
They would have to approve that they opted in.
