When Is The Best Time for Your Creativity?

What time of day do you put forth your best creative energies? According to a study by Mareike Wietha and Rose Zacks, "morning people" are better at solving mysterious problems in the evening and "night people" are better solving problems during morning. Why is that? Here is some quick data from Neil Patel at Quick Sprout by way of Ginny Soskey:

Sometimes I will suddenly get a epiphany during a run, or practicing music, or taking a shower. If I don't have the time to act on it, it disappears as quickly as it came. Using a notepad or phone to record comes in handy. Hey, when is your optimum time for tapping into and formulating your greatness?

Great blog, it is amazing what we can create at a special moment in time if we listen and obey, some of my best ideas come in my sleep, i usually get up and record it right away, or i might be having a swim and i would leave the beach and go straight to the studio or pick up pen and paper. Always listen to that invisible voice and act ASAP.

When I took my morning bath, I use about 25 minutes to write

See, that is great.

I am more of a "morning" person than a "night" person, lol. I know what you meant, i experienced that many times, and I hate it when it happened, lol. I need to type it on my Iphone, ha...ha... I think I am getting old now. :) Thanks so much for sharing, Eiress. :)

The article really helps you to think it through! :)

I like Neil. He has some good stuff. You're right about the thought disappearing quickly. Don't you hate that??

Hello Debbi, yes I do. If there was a better way to keep that thought just a little while longer. Hope you are well.

I love Neil Patel....one of the best out there, in my opinion!

Very detailed and informative blog.
Really good and readily readable.

Sometimes when I find myself awake during the night because my brain is churning round and round with too much information, I find myself turning the light on and jotting thoughts down on paper which I leave by the bed. I can then slip easily back into sleep. This can be an hour after going to bed, or just after a bathroom break in the early hours of the morning, or in fact any time throughout the night.

so true!

This is something I have to look into. My light bulb moment will blink while I'm driving or while I'm shopping, or crossing the road, not likely I have notepad and pen in hand during this erstwhile time. But hardly ever while I'm sitting at my keyboard (sigh). Blessings....

Hello Shirley, Do you have a phone with a mic? You can speak into it and listen to it when you get home. Have a great evening. :)

No dear, I do have a phone probably with mic. But I'm technology deficient. I have to think hard just to press the right buttons when it rings. You'll just have to give up on me, but thank you for your kind thoughts. God bless you....
Shirley

God Bless You. :)
