Do Something, Even if it's Wrong
When I was playing high school football , I had a coach that used to scream at us all the time. He was a good coach, we didn't lose a game in two years under him. After each practice he'd tell us he's only yelling because he cares, and that we shouldn't worry unless he stopped yelling. Out of all the times I was yelled at by the coach, I only remember one thing he said. After seeing me stand there, confused during a play, he yelled "Williams@#$%, DO SOMETHING, EVEN IF IT'S WRONG! At the time I didn't really understand that philosophy, but it eventually made sense to me. If you don't do anything, you wont learn anything. If you do something, and it's not right, it can be corrected. This philosophy applies to WA quite nicely I think. I've tried a few things here on WA, and haven't had them come out the way I thought they would. But, thanks to the wonderful community here at WA, I was shown the correct way of doing things, or at the very least pointed in the right direction. If you aren't interacting in the discussions here, I strongly encourage you to do so. Its an invaluable tool. So I encourage everyone here, especially the newer members to do something, every day....even if its wrong.
