Just wondering, do I need to be using both the WP Spam shield as well as the aksimet spam plugin?
You don't need to use either with the new WA security update Jaye. And at times they will cause conflict. Please delete them both if your site is hosted here SiteProtect - Spam Blocking Measures Added to Your Websites!

Do I need to use both spam pugins?
Just wondering, do I need to be using both the WP Spam shield as well as the aksimet spam plugin?
I don't think it hurts to have both. I think I only have the one plug in. So you can try both. AS long as it don't slow things down, it won't hurt anything as far as I know.

When I setup my Google Webmaster tools account I put the "WWW" in front of my site name. How big of a problem is this? can I fix it?
It is easy to create another "set up" using the name without www. I did that myself. So I have a www, and one without www. But it has been a while. If Google asks you not to use it, then don't use it. However if they say it is no problem, then you are probably okay. Read to see what they recommend, and then if you have to reset this up without the www.

As long as you can monetize the niche you are fine. Think about those that are in your group, niche or demographic. What is it they need? What is it they would buy? What help do they seek?
When you can decide what it is your niche group needs, you have half the battle won. Most don't even think about the problems their niche group has. So do this. Even if it takes you weeks, to figure out psychologically their desires and needs.
Then you can set up the help for this group and earn income by supplying them exactly what it is they cannot live without.
Make sure that your niche has other marketers and they are promoting products and services as well. Look to see what they are talking about, selling and or promoting.
Find out more about your competition by reading their comments on their websites. Look to see what they are doing. What products they offer.
If you see their website and you see no comments. Then they are not getting feedback and are probably not helping this group. At least not providing real value.
You have to become the go to guy. You have to provide the solutions!

That is already quite a specific niche so you should be alright with it.
I would suggest that you also do a google search and see what specific terms people are searching for within that niche. You might find something that is a little more targeted.
