My apprentice is Famous
I was kicking back, sunday afternoon, Corned beef in the slow cooker, having some Irish Whisky - Tullamore Dew, after a big week of renovations before our old house goes up for auction, been renovating bathrooms doing lawns gardens, planting new flowers, painting etc, all with a knee reconstruction comming in a few months.
I can hardly walk Atm,, so as everyone else in the house works I am the house hubby and Chef, and the main person doing the renovations, as a famous Aussie once said (Ned Kelly Famous bushranger) " Such Is Life" . So just cruising the net and I checked Facebook after not commenting there for a few months, I usually just call in add my latest post or blog and zap out. I discovered a huge thrill for me and an old employee.
In Aussie land in victoria we have the RACV which is a roadside assistance breakdown service that as a Mechanic your employed to attend to customers cars and fix any problems they may have and get them mobile again bit like the US AAA service, I was the contractor for The Yarra Valley in Melbourne Victoria and had an area of approx 100sq miles, I employed a great young mechanic, better than me, and a great guy to boot, named jason. I retired from working a few years ago and he changed his career.
We worked well together for 2 years, 3 days on 4 off rotating shifts, and after a few quick glimpses on FB I now find he is into an acting career, he has worked pretty hard the last few years, we kept in touch and every few months had a beer or a get together, I discovered that he has just landed a role with Warner Brothers in Oz for a new movie comming out in 2016.
I now can relate this to WA where Jason pushed for a new career starting from scratch, he knew nothing about acting, I knew nothing about the internet marketing affiliates programs...etc, etc,.. and now My mate has achieved a mile stone that he has chosen, I am now more that ever motivated to succeed in making an income from WA. I am starting Boot camp this week and keep pushing till I make a sale. well done my young Jedi, your training is complete, I yet still have a lot more to learn.
Better teach the Roo to drink scotch.......
Yours in Health - John

Very uplifting story and your right if we never try we will never know, wish you every success and hope the knee op goes well
Great story John and yes it just shows, if you put in the hard yard then you will reach your goal.
John...GREAT story...and congratulations to you for taking such pride in Jason's success. I'm sure that you helped provide him with the inspiration he needed to follow his dream. I'm a middle school teacher and, believe me, I've learned more from my students than they have probably learned from me!
ALL of us still have a lot more to learn...including you my Friend. EVERYONE knows that Roos drink Fosters!! LOL!!
Best wishes for MUCH success as you continue your internet marketing career!
Vince
You know that you have done a good job in coaching someone when they go from being the apprentice to teaching and inspiring the teacher.
It is fantastic to hear great stories like this. :)
We all are motivated by each other's success, just reading this story really inspires me to do my best as well. I was an electrician for 5 years but I just got laid off and I myself am staying with the kids. But I am in No way discouraged or hurt because we have the ability to thrive at any moment.
I hope your knee gets better mate!
thanks danny, it makes you think you can do anything if you put your mind to it, much success to you here at WA.....Cheers john
