On Track Again
Hello WA members, its been a long and rocky road the last few months and not having the time to devote to my site and add comments, do some pay forward to the newer members has been on my mind. Those who have followed me for a few months know I have been pre occupied, I have had a stint in Hospital with my back, I broke it 30 years ago parachuting in the Defence Forces..Aussie Army, and especially with renovations and selling our house its been a testing time, we are moving and building a bigger and better paradise for the wife and I to retire in...Eventually......so..Better find a job and pay for all of this?
The house went to Auction last weekend 24th Oct....and sold for a remarkable price, well above our reserve, the highest price in the area for a 3 bedroom house, we don't believe its an outstanding amazing house, it has its gremlins, but is a very comfortable open plan living oasis, 2 bathrooms, big rumpus/ theatre room with a large entertaining area outside and a large backyard, by the area standards, we added new carpets, painted through out, upgraded the gardens with new plants and made the house very presentable, so good the estate agent was asked "do people live here"? ,perfect for the young couple who purchased their first house from us. The point of sale, exchanging details etc, I asked the young couple what their plans are for the house, Mike is a builder and Emma a clinical Nurse, tidy up the house a little add their touches, but get furniture was the biggest problem?... They are renting using borrowed furniture from family...Problem fixed, we discussed this and offered the couple our 2nd lounge suite, my spare beer fridge in the garage, and will leave the lawn mower for them, they liked our old outdoor setting so that's theirs as well. They are over the moon, the New Microwave is staying as it goes with all the other appliances in the kitchen, we get a new better one in the new house package.
So they have a semi furnished house with the basics, a new married couple their first house, we hope they enjoy it as much as we have, our kids grew up their and we have had many a great time their, and many, many partys over the years, we exchanged our wedding vows in the backyard, had 18th and 21st birthday partys and many other memorable times, lots of tears and more smiles than we can remember, they now get to have their first xmas there this year, we will leave them a xmas tree, and a parting gift as our present to wish them a happy, safe and prosperous life in their new home.
Back to Reality!!!!
I have attacked the Bootcamp training this week, and will get that happening over the next few months, it was good to reflect on what life has granted me the last few months being off work, the choices I have made the sacrifices and importantly the people I have in my life. My family and friends always come first, then my own health then finances, its now time to add WA to my circle of life, I joined in June 15, raced through the training the first few month, and for that I did miss a lot of critical steps I know I only partially understood what I was doing and thought I knew what my site was about, time to re evaluate my site and improve it, I now have 50% trust from Google and some posts are on pages 2-3 in search, so its getting there. Bootcamp will be different I will take it slow and concentrate on where I want the new site to go and look at other members sites and do it right the first time, ask a lot of questions and learn to market the right way. So better get into it cheers all seeya.

John it is so good to hear from you. I am happy that you are feeling better and I thought about you and the family selling and renovating your home to sell. Am so happy that you were able to sell at a very good price. I am in Bootcamp and you will like it. There is so much to learn. You will do fine though.
Thank you John for sharing all of what you and your family have been going threw.
Blessings to you and your family in your new home.
