My B-I-G day has arrived . 8 August 2015!
This will seem DAFT to you if you live outside the UK?!
BUT to football (soccer) fanatics in the UK, 8 August 215, is the start of the NEW footy season!
Up and down the country, "footy fanatics" will be following their favourite teams for the next 9 months!
Hooray!!
Apart from watching the games, it also gives me a chance to pocket some pocket money, from my "pocket-money" football betting strategy! Haa haa !!
I have already placed my FIRST bet of the new season! S@@ my "pocket money strategy" blog ! The match starts in 90 mins and I am looking forward to watching this game "live" on television and winning some pocket money from the bookmakers!
I love fleecing the bookies for cash albeit "loose" change (pocket money)!
You can follow my progress on "my pocket money strategy" blog or my "footy-tips" website located under my profile page!
S@@ how I get on !
Wish me luck !

Jaspal - Good luck with your picks this season. Football I understand; American Football not so much. I live a short distance from Salt Lake Real Stadium (soccer) so our neighborhood is often filled with swarming fans. Hope you have a winning streak.
Hi Larry!
Good to see there are soccer fans following the "beautiful game" all over the world!
Thanks for your views, I appreciate your time!
Keep in touch.
Best Regards.
Jaspal
I understand! NFL and NCAA final countdown is ticking down! My NFL Fantasy Draft is in 2 weeks and I can't wait! Best Of Luck This Season!!
Hi Marant!
Thanks for your feedback!
Sorry I have no idea about NFL or NCAA!
As far as I can tell, it is just "double-dutch" to me!
Wish you luck with your brand of "footy" !
Best Regards.

I think I will be going into hiding my fella is not that interested in footy but I have 3 sons who make up for it. I hate football season mind I suppose while they are all occupied I can work on my site.
Hi !
Good to hear from you again!
You must be the first GEORDIE who is not interested in footy?!!
You learn something new every day!
Haa haaa !!
Keep in touch.
Best Regards.

Noooooo footy is my pet hate but then as I say I do get a lot of free time during the season.
Thankfully they are all grown up work and have their own money so can buy their own. Gone are the days when I had to buy them.
That's the theory but in reality they still seem to get it somehow. My oldest son is boxing in a charity match in October at the metro arena that's £40 quid a ticket. Then he guilt tripped me into a £50 quid donation and that's just one of them lol
I know he knows just how to play me, but it was for a good cause cancer research pleased to help after all he is going to get a few punches and my purse is only lighter I know who got the better deal lol
I would rather do neither just donating makes me happy. But my dilemma is do I go and watch him can I stand watching him getting hit. I have tickets but don't know if my nerves would survive lol
Not sure which I'd like less, a few rounds in the ring bobbing and weaving or 13 miles on the tarmac...pheww!!
I can well understand that, reminds me of the wrestling on ITV in the 60's and 70's when the old dears would swing their handbags around and shout at the villain when their favourite was getting beat up in the ring....not calling you an old dear Jo, you understand..hahaha!!
Hahaha but that will be me and trust me I have a big handbag with everything including the kitchen sink in it could do them some damage lol
Brilliant, remind me to avoid upsetting you next time I'm in Geordieland Jo!! LOLssssss
Mark
Its a mothers built in instinct to protect her young lol. But you are right not just me just don't go upsetting any Geordie lass we smile sweetly but can knock you out with the famous Geordie kiss. Only joking
You must be a Premier League fan then Jaspal as the season as a whole started last night (Friday 7th August) at Brighton in the Campionship........Brighton 1 Forest 0
First game of the Premier League played already....
Manchester United 1 Tottenham Hotspur 0
Good luck for the season, whoever your team is.
Mark
Hi Mark!
Good to hear from you!
Yes, you are quite right about the season starting on 7 August!
I think I got carried away by the "pocket money" dangling in front of my .... dangling eyes?!!
Strange you should mention Man Utd v Spurs?
That is the ONLY game I have put my money on for the day!
I placed it on my blog "my pocket money strategy" well before the game started so you could s@@ that I wasn't cheating!!
I have got £2.50 (winnings) pocket money for the day! Haa haaa !!!
I could easily make this my full-time career BUT not on my belly or .... NELLY !!
Happy with the pocket money dripping out of my pocket on a daily basis!
I have already placed my "pocket money bet" for tomorrow.
I am going for Arsenal v West Ham, West Ham +3.5 @ 1.15.
Asian Handicaps are NOT a "handicap" for me for ........ obvious reasons !!
PS: Sadly, "my team" is NOT in the premiership this season. They were relegated last season > PQR < QPR that is !
Keep in touch.
Regards.
Jaspal
Hi there Jaspal, glad to see your pocket is dripping with some "spendsies".....you must have either gone for a United win or first goal as an own goal!!
Don't understand the betting handicap stuff, betting has never been my thing and sorry to hear your team is Park Queens Rangers...they've been in a right mess these last couple of years :-(
Oops..they just lost at Charlton as well I believe!
Mark
Hi Mark!
I love your sense of humour!
Haa haa !!
"Asian Handicap" is a great way of winning games, trust me!
If you are interested, drop me a line via "personal message" and I will explain the rules to you in more details!
I think you will love the handicap strategy!
Yes, PQR are a "gonner" for a few years ...... unfortunately!
Regards.
Jaspal
Thanks for the offer Jaspal but I've never been a gambler/better and I don't intend to start now.........too much like a heart attack waiting to happen when your own money is at risk!!
PQR ~ I think Tony Fernades' heart is in the right place but not sure how he'd get on if he ran his airline like he does Rangers ;-)
You are right about a "heart attack" waiting to happen, Mark! But that is why I play for "peanuts" and I get peanuts in return!
Seriously, I treat it like a "hobby" and I love it. Luckily, I was born with MASSIVE "will power" so never - EVER - get tempted to "UP" my stakes or go "full time" as a gambler! NO WAY!
I wouldn't be surprised if Tony Fernandes is doing the same as me - on a much BIGGER scale?!
Perhaps QPR is Tony's "hobby", too ??
Keep in touch.
Best Regards.
Jaspal
Good to hear you only ever play for peanuts Jaspal!
Good win this evening away to Yeovil, might be a decent confidence booster for QPR although I'm not entirely sure Chris Ramsay is manager material, more like a good coach........Big Sam in the wings??
Mark
Hi Quincy!
Yes, it is great fun ONLY if you keep it that way!
Some people, unfortunately, turn themselves into "hardcore gamblers" and lose their "shirts" amongst other things?
Not for me, so happy to plod along and treat it as a "hobby" which brings in some tiddly pocket money!
Feel free to keep an eye on "my pocket money strategy" blog here on WA!
Keep in touch.
Regards.
Jaspal
Thank you. Will keep an eye your pocket money strategy to see how that works. I know how to bet on a horse but have not bet on sports..
Hi Quincy!
Please do keep an eye on my record!
If you need any help please let me know!
Regards.
Jaspal
Good luck to you sir Jaspal, I wonder if I should say the best of British or Irish luck! Just take your pick Jaspal:)
Hi Peter!
I think I will go for .... British luck for my pocket money strategy!
I choose "Irish luck" when I am mingling with the Irish at the pub!!
Haa haaa !!!
Keep in touch.
