Where I am right now.

My progress so far...

I have been with Wealthy Affiliate for about 6 weeks now (5 as a Premium member). I'm getting where I need to be but it's slow going. I am trying to balance a full time job, a family, a YouTube gaming channel, and building an online business. I cannot believe how super busy I've gotten in the last month or so, and I am enjoying myself. I think I got in a little over my head with the first niche I chose. Office Supplies. I work with them everyday, and still found it very hard to write about things that weren't already written about 1000 times or that people didn't already know. I haven't given up on it, just put that one on the back burner for a minute, and I'll bring it up to speed at a later time. But since them I've chosen something else.

My Niche

I am working in a niche that I have a very personal connection with, Pro Wrestling t-shirts. It's personal to me because I have been a lifelong wrestling fan, and was an independent level pro wrestler for 13 years. I have a lot of memories about the business when I was growing up, and some more when I was directly involved. I even owned my own promotion for a short period of time. I find it so much easier to write about something so personal and connected to me. I know the lessons say to do that from the beginning, but when I chose my first one, I was focused on the money. This one I chose because I feel it, and I think it shows in my writing. I don't have too many posts up yet, but I'm getting there.

My Success has been...

My success has been limited so far, but I'm still very early in this career, and I am well aware that it takes time, and I'm going to keep plugging away. I have had some of my posts featured on the 1st page of a Google search. I was so excited, but no one else I knew shared my enthusiasm. But that's ok, I will make this happen, and I don't need any one else's enthusiasm as long as I have this awesome community within my reach. My Google search results, I think, only came about because I searched my actual website, and my specific posts by title. But it's a start, and I am super stoked about it. I have affiliated myself with Amazon, and the sales will eventually come. Hey Google, I will be on your first page again....

3 months from now

I am looking forward to this journey, and am ready to start making some serious headway in this industry. 3 months from now, my goal is to be making some money. I know it won't be a lot at first, but I don't want it overnight. I am the type of person, that if something is really worth having, then it's worth working for. I didn't start my wrestling career overnight, I trained for months before they thought I was ready. I was well ahead of others in my training group, so I had my 1st match and live show months ahead of them, but I didn't just stop training. I finished training with the folks I started with, and eventually we were all on the show together. I will get this business off the ground, and I'm going to give myself my time back.

6 months from now

I am going to be making money at that time, and want to be able to invest at least 50% of any profit I make back into it. (I have a plan on how to divide it up, so I should be able to maximize my profits, and make a nice chunk of change for myself after tax season.) I am enjoying the community and look forward to working with any of you. I will help anyone I can. (limited knowledge though) But I have found that, people that are in this community, that are on my same level, we learn things from each other and different tips and tricks just by regular conversation, and that to me makes it even more personal. Not so business and formal like. I like that, and I'm here for the duration.
