Tools 4 Guys YouTube Channel Just Hit 60,000 Views!
In some of my previous blogs, I mentioned that if I would have stuck to my first blog, and kept going with Content & SEO Marketing and focused on that blog alone, instead of then trying to learn email marketing, and funnel pages, and social media marketing. If I would have stuck to my first blog and what WA teached, I would be at a bare, bare minimum, making 2-3k a month right now.
I decided about 1 year ago, I will focus on ONE "project" and not stop until it becomes successful. So my dad, 2 brothers and I started our YouTube Channel called Tools 4 Guys, in which we do Honest Tool Reviews, DIY tips and tricks, and hopefully provide some laughs along the wasy as well.
The great news is that we have stuck with it, and we just got notified by vidIQ that we just passed up 60,000 views. (This post is coming to you late bc I have been busy, we hit this in October 2020) This came right when we were passing our 1 year mark. That is 5,000 views a month, with only 300 subscribers! We have not yet qualified for the YouTube Partnerhship Program, but I believe we can get there this next year, but of course, that is not the only way to monetize a YouTube channel.
Here is the best part. I used everything I learned at Wealthy Affiliate, in regards to SEO, Keyword Research, and content marketing and 70% of our views have come from YouTube & Google search!!! Yep, that's right, SEO works on YouTube, but I only have to write 150-300 words vs. the 1,000-1,500 minimum that I was used to. And the best part is that about 50% of our videos are ranked on the first page of Google for certain key words.
Now don't get me wrong, we have a website as well, https://tools4guys.com, but our main focus has been the Youtube channel. Now that my brothers are starting to help out with more of the video editing, I am going to start building out our website a little bit more each month as well.
We only have about 25 videos, yet we were able to generate over 60k views last year. Our goal is to at least double that in 2021!!!
The point is, stick to what WA teaches, and stick to one project/business until you get it going and running almost on it's own, then, and only then, start to venture out in either other marketing strategies for the same projects or different projects all together.

Thank you Jason for this inspiring piece proving yet again that the WA training does work when applied. Super going on the results you are getting in WA. Just shows what commitment will yield. Are there 3 No's you would recommend not to do with YT. Thanks much.
Hugh
Hugh, thanks for the encouraging words. As far as the 3 No’s on YouTube, and let me be clear, I am by no means a pro. I still consider myself a newbie when it comes to YouTube. But my feedback would be similar to what WA teaches.
#1 - Make great content for your audience
#2 - Use SEO in the title and description to your advantage. Almost no one is doing this, not even some of the big players
#3 - You don’t have to be a pro at editing videos. I used iMovie app on my phone our first 10 videos and then moved to iMovie on my Mac, so nothing fancy and I just learn as I go. If you have great content, you don’t need fancy editing.
#4 - Just get started.
I know those weren’t any “No’s” and there were 4 not 3, but that is what I would recommend. Let me know if you have any other questions, I am always happy to share what I have learned!😎👍
