Feeling Like I'm Wanting To Give Up.

So as I begin to build up my website and create content around my niche. I'm always referring to the internet to get ideas and check for accurate information. I then start to properly look at these websites and blogs which I find on the first page of google and I realise that I'm trying to be like these people! They have all the information (& more) compared to what I am trying to offer.

I get it, I am just writing about something I am passionate about, but how can I have the edge over these people. Is it just about getting my blog to the first page of google so that people will click on my page over theirs?!

I'm trying to stay committed and positive but I feel like I can already see my blog being a flop, I know this is not the right attitude and I know we are expecting failures but ah, I just can't shake this feeling!!! BUT.. but I am still going.....

Thank you all for the positive replies! Made me feel a lot better.

You have to realise that no one is going to write like you- unless they copy you - you are not copying their info are you?
so what you are doing is putting your spin on the infomation within your niche - are you adding to it or just rewriting what is already out there.
We all go through the ' my voice is not good enough to compete' but you have information to share with your audience so tell it, solve their problems - yes get the information via research but come up with your way of putting the information across and add to it - make it yours - make it better.
Make a plan to aim your site towards - make it interlink together and make google take notice - you have all of the traiing you need here - i now have posts on page 1, it took 6 months but they are there.
You will go through this a few times, but it is how you react to it that matters - you can go 'ok enuff i can't do this' or you can sit back for a few days - it won't matter - take the time to look though why you started this journey, where you want to be and when.
Review your site regularly - check for typos and easy navigation - write down how you want your viitors to navigate you site and see if you can.
It is worth continuing, you can make this whatever you want- 95% of this journey is mental, use the community here to help you - as you are.
Don't give up your dream - you stated this journey for a reason - you even wrote down what you want to achieve here - do you remember.
Don't worry about the others on page 1, they all started where you are now - so make a plan and a commitment to achieve more than they have.Say it to yourself as a question and let your subconscious help you achieve it - it can if you let it.
Good luck with your decision.

I think when we all have this feeling Jasmine but you have to understand something. If you use the low competition keywords which kyle advises in the lessons. These other websites don't matter at all. Use low competition key words with low searches and visitors and you will eventually be able to challenge for the more popular keywords as your site ages and gets more popular

Don't worry about it, if you are confused about anything you can ask me :-)

Be yourself and tell your story and write content from your voice. Don't be like everyone else, be yourself and allow that authentic self show through.
