Having some doubts about my niche.

So I started my first official domain website focusing on home repair and maintenance. The problem however is that I'm having doubts about it, as it's not easy to find pictures about this stuff that I'm trying to explain, and I'm usually not doing what I'm trying to explain at that current moment to be able to take pictures. Do you think I should scrap the blog and start with a new niche, or keep pushing forward before I give up. Have learned alot about wordpress so far just from this site so it won't be a total loss. The website is homemaintenance101.com if anyone is interested! Thanks :)

Howdy Jarod, thanks for connecting. just looked at your site and looks good so far, only problem Deb saw was these little mice about half way down, lol.
Great Job Jared, you are on track

Aww thanks so much for checking it out! :) I put those mice to try and scare people into thinking mice can get in there homes, so it prompts them to read the article further to see how to prevent it :)

Do NOT scrap it ! Its way to early for that. get some feed back from the WA community and all I would suggest, and i did that for someone else too, is to change your BLACK background color to something else...just not black!! Do your google search on colors...and see for yourself. Hope this helps!

Yeah black is a tad dark, thanks ! I'm going to keep working on it and learning wordpress and when the time comes i'll start another site, but won't give up :)

Hey Jarod,

I would not scrap it just put it on the back burner. As I mentioned before I am full on WA Bootcamp but I have other sites that are niches I enjoy and continue to foster. Remember you will hit a block at some point with everything. So just take it slow. Visualize clarity and it will come.

Exactly, I'm trying to slow down a little bit. I keep getting ahead of myself and need to remember that this takes time, and it's about the journey too, not only the destination. I'm going to keep using it to learn wordpress and finish the level two certification and see where I'm at. :)

Instead of pictures, can you upload YouTube videos instead? I am using videos on my site and my readers have given me feedback they like it.

Best wishes,
Yvette

Thanks for your reply! Wouldn't using other's videos from youtube lead to copyright problems?

I had asked the same question. You are okay as long as the YouTube video has "share" on their site. People WANT you to share their videos.

This will give you steps on how to do it:

Ah that's right! And as long as I give them credit I can help them draw traffic to their channel so they should be okay! Thanks so much! :)

You're welcome! Glad I could help.

Yes this is an awesome way to go. YouTube is fantastic and if you embed the videos usually they just watch it on your page and not jump to the persons channel.
