Not Quite November
It has been an interesting few months. I've created two websites and continue to work on ways to develop them. I've made it thru the social media classes and have found myself stepping back to rethink, review and plan.
I've always tried to be sure to recognize and acknowledge my limitations. I've also had to keep an eye on my tendency to take on more than I can chew. For those of you who are new to this Wealthy Affiliate adventure, I strongly urge you to do the same. Yes the world is your oyster, but if you exhaust yourself, overburden yourself or get bogged down in the mud just trying to move forward you will ultimately create a lot of frustration and potential failure. We can't all be #1, but we can be the best we can be just by paying attention.
Over the past few months I have been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of material in my In Box and came to the conclusion that I was not helping anyone by focusing on things that did not help me to grow. That meant that a lot of the mail went into File 13 (aka: the trash bin). Reality for me as part of WA is no different than working 9 - 5; If I am not productive I am not producing and can't justify the expense or the time. No different than getting onto Facebook and spending a bit too much time scoping what everyone else is doing rather than making my posts and getting out and back to other tasks.
Which leads me to another conclusion I've come to. I don't want, and do not need, to spend time on platforms that do not interest me. Translation: No Twitter, No Instagram.
On another note
I am interested in talking with and potentially working with food bloggers or craft bloggers. From what I've seen, they appear to be few and far between. I would like to see if we could band together to learn and grow together. If you are not part of these niches, but know someone who is, please let them know and ask them to contact me.

Realy weird, Janet, I was just thinking 15 minutes ago how much time i spend just going through WA emails and not actually on my sites...a lot. But, I'm afraid I might miss something, so I read away, but don't reply to every one, and have learned ao much through them.
I don't know if coffee (Keurig, specificaly) or vacuum sealing food (and other things, but that site is still in its infancyi) interest you, but if so, the sites are listed on my profile page. Anyway, best wishes,
Joe
I always scan my email, but find a lot of it is just not useful to me. I also figured out how to opt out of online conversations that were valuable when I was dealing with the lessons, but after I'd moved on were just a waste of time trying to get it off the dashboard.
On the other hand, I did find out about a few things that I could have sworn were part of the training, only weren't. If I hadn't been reviewing emails I wouldn't have known.
This Keurig fan will be reaching out to you.

It's easy to find sites to eliminate your focus. Keep on track!
So true! And it is so easy to get caught up getting caught up with things that have no real value to what you are trying to do.
