All gave a some, a few gave a lot and some gave all. Memorial Day is about the ones that gave all. It is a reminder that freedom is not free. However, when we are asked to give a little we seem to forget about the ones that gave all. And I am not speaking on a monetary level. I am talking about when there is a slight inconvenience of your time.
For example, when we have to go through all the checks at the airport and we get an attitude with the staff for doing their job. How quickly we forget that the extra precautions are there for our safety. Or, when we are entering a military facility and your vehicle is chosen for a spot check.
So, the next time you are going through the airport, entering a military facility or any place where security measures are taken and you are inconvenienced just a bit. Remember Memorial Day, and drop the attitude because you are only giving a little so someone else won’t have to give a lot.
