What wordpress theme are others using?

I want your theme!

Recognize this? You visited one of your friends or even competitor's website and you thought by yourself: 'Hey, I like that Wordpress theme! What is it?' You want to find out because you like it maybe even more than your own used theme. What to do?

The Original way to find it

Now, maybe many of you know this already, others might not know it but you can find in a very easy way using your brower, go to the source of the website and digg into the HTML code until you find the line where Wordpress shows the hyperlink to the theme.

There you have it! The theme used in this example is Almasi. So, what you could do now is go over to wordpress or just do a search in Google and search for this theme to download and install it: Easy, no?

Is there not a more easy way?

I agree, many people will find this a bit difficult and don't want to do it this way. However, yes, there is a tool for it. Acutaly it is a website. Using this tool you can enter the website you want to investigate and do a search.

The results will be shown and even more. Not only the website returns the theme name and it's author, but it shows also the used Plugins used on that site.

Of course, here at WA we have the best tools and options already for building a great website so most probably, we members will not really need it. However, from time to time it can be a great benefit if you know what themes and plugins your competitors may use. So give it a try ;)
