Ignorance isn't always bliss
I got my phone bill in the mail and it was a bit more than the usual. The bill mentioned something about international calling charges but I did not make any international calls so I checked the detailed bill with all my call details and there it is:
A 52 minute long phone call to some number in Ontario,Canada costing me around 30 bucks.
I feel deranged for a minute because I have absolutely no one to call in Canada, a thousand weird thoughts creep up in my mind like is my phone hacked and silly things like that. So, naturally I google the number to see who it belongs to. That's when I realize, it was the number belonging to one of the Jay's WAbinar which I dialed into because of audio issues with my laptop. I was completely and ridiculously unaware of the fact that a) I was calling a Canadian number b) It's not free at all.
You see, ignorance can cost you serious dollars some times.
This post is not a rant, just to let people know(I am sure majority of you know this), if they don't already know that calling in the number for the WAbinar is NOT FREE.
Leaving behind the ignorance,
Yours truly.

Thank you for sharing this information. I didn't know that the call was not free either.
Great to know this!

Hi Surbhi, thank you so much for sharing this. I for one was unaware, I am on the other side of the world, so the bill would be a big one.
