A tool to grow you website, attract visitors and start an email list.

So for newbies like me, I am constantly hearing in the training that we need to grow our website to generate traffic and then the money making process can begin.
I was surfing the web yesterday and came across a recommendation for a little tool called SumoMe. Firstly, this isn't a promotion, it is just something I came across that I thought might be helpful to you all. Secondly, I know what is going to happen... All the more experienced bloggers and website builders on here are going to shout: "But Jade! There a far better plugins for List Building, and sharing your website socially". To those people, I ask that they put their suggestions below, I would really appreciate gaining some insight into the different traffic building plugins other people use and I sure other readers of this blog will too. :)

Anyway, so I thought I would give this app a go.

The Downsides

• The app is heavily branded. So you do get tiny little features primarily at the right-hand side of your website that links to SumoMe, and underneath your email sign up box as you can see on this blank website below:

• You have to pay for the Pro version (but the free version gives you pretty good basic features).

• Super simple to use! SumoMe actually takes you through blow by blow when you first download it. It also has an "app" system to keep your menu neat tidy, and easy to use and read. Like this:

• Although you are restricted as to what features you can use as a free version, the basic plugin has some really great features. For those of you that are new to this and don't have a clue what they are doing, it is easy to set up some really nice features for your site. For example, as you can see on my own website below (www.pebbleplop.com) I have a really snazzy looking side-bar on the left-hand side that links my readers straight to all the possible methods of sharing the page they are on. The idea is that you don't' want to give your reader too much to do. So if they only have to move their mouse a few centimetres across the page to share it, they are more likely to!

• SumoMe also provides tracking analytics to see how many people have side up to your mailing list! :)

As you can use the free version on your site, this is definitely one to try. If you don't like it, delete it no problem. There may be better Plugins out there for this purpose, but I thought I would share with you one that I have found really useful so far.
I am probably getting a bit ahead of myself with List Building and SumoMe as I am still only in the early stages of the Level 3 of the Online Entrepreneur Course. For all I know, Kyle might suggest this app or something similar later on in the course, but It can't harm to be keen I suppose!
One other thing... if you are using the Plugin from WordPress you can't just search for it, it will bring up no results. You have to upload a zipfile from your computer. You can find the link and the instructions on how to do this here:
