Day 22 - Learn How to Build a Website Yourself in WordPress 2017

Hey there and a Big Welcome to Day 22 of Learn How to Build a Website Yourself in WordPress 2017 – let’s keep moving on!

A recap on what I did yesterday – Day 21:

· Decided I would be creating an Authority Site

· Started with Jays training on doing exactly that:

· Went through the 5 W’s - Who, What, When, Where and Why

So Today…

It’s all on!

Now that I’ve made my decision to build a Relative Authority Site I wanted to do a bit of research about what the specifics are for creating an authority site, apart from what Jay has put together.

So my first question was “What IS an Authority Site?”

By asking this question it showed me what I would need to have in place, or even a plan in place, for all of the aspects of an Authority Site.

An Authority Site is like a typical niche site except with more:

· Different types of traffic sources

· Methods of monetization

· Different types of business models

With an authority site you keep building it which means more opportunity to increase your revenue.

Readers see an authority site as more trusted, more up to date and apparently more reliable. This in turn, creates return visitors, which then builds a following.

These sites usually start out as smaller niche sites and because they are constantly being worked on in terms of the growth in content, they naturally become authority sites.

The idea for any website is that people should be glad that they found your site because of its helpfulness AND usefulness – creating an authority site is EXACTLY what this is about.

It sounds like I have my work cut out, something I’m definitely looking forward to as even the product range is very exciting.

Well I can see I have a lot to do…so I will leave it at that today!
