Finding A Balance

Hello my amazing WA family. It's been too long between posts.

I've been busy on my affiliate website and my freelance copywriting business. With everything that's going on in this crazy world right now (I'm not going to mention the 'C' word) I felt the need to reach out and share.

So, I have a pressing matter on my mind right now. It's the struggle to find balance. This is something that can be applied to so many aspects of my life. I won't bore you with the 'other stuff', but it's especially pertinent to my affiliate website.

Right now I'm striving to find a balance between quantity and quality. I could literally spend weeks crafting the 'perfect' blog post. Trying to find the perfect words or the perfect images. I've had to remind myself that this is NOT conducive to success.

Now, I'm trying to up my production. Are my posts going to be perfect? Absolutely friggin' not! And guess what, there might even be a spelling error or two. However, I need to make peace with that and hit the publish button more often.

I've seen some members talk about creating one post per day. I admire that, I really do. But to me that's not realistic. My goal moving forward is three posts per week. This, plus work commitments, plus everything else in life. I think this will be challenging enough.

I'm off to write another 'imperfect' post.

Take care,

Jake

Baby steps at first is all it takes, Jake!

Jeff

Hey, Jake. I have a business offline and building an online business at the same time. Yes, writing good articles take time and is a challenge.

I have redesign my value proposition on my site, therefore the value can be broken down to several different “types” of content, therefore you don’t need to deliver deep authoritative articles every time.

Hey Jake. Thanks for sharing your current story. Three articles per week would be pretty challenging for me as well. If I was full time in the business, I could do it a lot more easily. But alas, I'm not yet. Good job in finding a balance!

Paula

Hi Paula,

I completely agree. And I'm not a full-timer just yet either.

I'd love to spend more time on my website but unfortunately 'adult responsibilities' get in the way!

Have a great day :)
