Security checks are important

Please don't underestimate how crucial having a secure site is. As part of a site review I voluntarily ran a test and found that a WordPress site was several versions behind. This may not seem like a big deal...unitl someone hits you below the belt with a malicious hack.
Search for "WordPress Security Scan" and find a report that reports on the following:
- Attempt to detect version of WordPress Core
- Find Plugins in HTML response
- Identify theme in use (usually at bottom of page anyway)
- Attempt to enumerate first 2 WP users
- List page resources including javascript and iframes
- Test for directory indexing enabled on key locations
- Check Google Safe Browse for reputation
Most of the time these items are NOT thought of because they are perceived to be obstacles towards the end goal of getting things done. However, security should be our main concern because at the end of the day you can't say you love something - or someone - when you had the chance to put safety first, but chose not to because it was inconvenient. Get it?

Best bet is to make the time to go through the training. The light bulb will go off at some point and the rest will be up to you!
