Latest Post Indexed!
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share with everyone that good news that my latest blog was just indexed my Google today!
I understand that we all feel a sense of joy and accomplishment whenever our blogs get indexed, but what exactly is going on when our content is indexed?
Well if we look below in this neat infographic that I discovered while researching, it breaks down the process of how Google works.
Google sends out these tiny little minions, called "Googlebots", whose job it is to litterally "crawl" your website. (So if you're in your website, updating it, writing content, etc .and you should happen to see these little critters, don't swat at them! They're perfectly safe.) These bots are always working. The more frequently you update content, the more your site will need to crawled by the Googlebots.
After crawling, copies of your pages are then stored in the Google Database and 'indexed' - similar to the table of contents in a book, which allows you to quickly search for a specific page based on a search term. This is the moment when Google sends us an email, noitifying us that our latest content has been indexed.
This is a quick synopsis of what goes on behind the scenes when our content is indexed!
Thanks for reading and I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Isaiah 😊
