Happy New Year 2025
There's nothing wrong with staying up till midnight to watch the ball drop and the fireworks go off. I've done that many times. Had my shares of New Year's Eve gatherings too of staying up till three A.M with friends and colleagues.
But it started to get 'old' after a while.
In recent years, I've actually started texting everyone I knew and wished them a 'Happy New Years' around 10pm on New Years Eve so I can hit the sack.
Every New Year's Day, for the past decade, I've kept my tradition going - getting up at sunrise on New Years Day and going for a three-mile run while everyone else is still snoozing in their warm beds.
I find it calming and therapeutic in a way as I reflect on my goals for the new year ahead. And whenever my thoughts take me back to anything that I didn't accomplish in the past year, I quickly forgive myself and let it go. The run is not a time to beat myself up over the past, but to look forward to the present and future. It's also one extra disciplinary measure that fuels me in other areas of my life that I'm hoping to succeed in.
I figured if I could conquer one area of my life (physical fitness), then it should give me the motivation and discipline to conquer other areas concerning my life, business, family and personal development.
I hope you've found some motivation in reading this post.
Wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous New Year in 2025!
