The Secret Sauce of Making Money at Wealthy Affiliate
I honestly just read about my millionth ad that said, "100% Front End Commissions No Investment Ever". Let that sink in, if it doesn't click you sucked at math!
See a front end is the lowest level sale in a product in MMO niches and it comes damned hard to get if you also say free to join no investment ever. You are basically in using the BULL POOP, cutting your own throat. You are telling people get in here do nothing, and pay nothing so I can't get paid but have a huge downline worth a fat ZERO dollars in my bank account.

Yet every day I see people here at Wealthy Affiliate who's sponsor promoted the free to join TRIAL MEMBERSHIP and has never been in contact with them to break the news that the trial is exactly that, a point to get your feet wet and see how things work but not a life changer.
Your referrals want to see you lead by example and upgrade to the membership that you say is so special. They want to know the score up front and not be fooled and tricked into bad actions, and worse they will model everything you do and say so you are setting them and you up for failure.
So how do we get better?
Every member needs to get serious and invest in themselves. The training will tell you 100% of the truth and reality of a business that over 90% of you will not survive in. Another 7% of you will never see your full potential in this business either because you sat on the fence too long and took action too damned late.
So you are worried about rejections and not getting 500 people a month to join. Well many of you were in SFI or Strong Future International before joining us and Gery Carson the owner has a great saying for this though it has come to my attention the author is unknown.

Stop worrying about those who won't, you are taking time away from supporting those who will. If you fail at converting people from fence sitter to paying customer you are going to fail at business online, offline, on the moon, or on mars so stop thinking everyone is a prospect and learn to target the ones ready for Wealthy Affiliate.
Sadly this is a place of learning that cost a ton of money to make viable and the owners look for a profit as well and depend on cash flow. Thus we can't keep trying to service the people who have no money and are not willing to do what it takes to get it. This is a BUSINESS which means CHARITY is often left at the door.
Instead we need to answer every question in chat that is related to how to afford this membership. We need to have a list of cost saving solutions for homes and lifestyle. I have put out list before on my blogs to help people save up to $200 a month on basic home modifications.
If you can ask questions like are there any memberships you pay that you don't really use or can combine the statistics say 67% of us could save as much as $200 a month right there. Sure you may have to opt for Hulu or Peacock and tell Netflix Goodbye, and you might have to spend less on a game app or take lunch to work 10 times per month but you likely can afford membership.
What you can't afford if you are serious about change is staying on the fence. You can not afford to be that person who gets stuck and stays there another 20 freaking years. This is not the you that will make a break from your 9-5 Just Over Broke JOB and Fire Your Boss.
You need to pay attention when people are talking about putting together a customer avatar.
DATA is what you know about your customer and you need to know everything about what makes them buy and what they buy and which of those things they buy are related. This will lead you to finding out the questions they ask before they buy and show you their PAIN POINTS. Learn to ease pain and you will have more sales than you ever imagined.
Pay even more attention to pain points than you do traffic stats on your own site and you will be pleasantly surprised the once a week you do look at your own numbers.
Embrace social media and see it as a time waster that doesn't need to be and more as a tool for growth. Being out there doesn't make you less safe it makes you more secure financially. Still scared of who might follow you then buy a security system and some form of home defense with your profits from business.
Above all stop making idiot excuses and make sure every action has a solid reason instead. Fear is from not knowing a obstacle is simply an excuse and there is no reasoning behind your fear so MOVE FORWARD.

An excellent message Andy, although back in the late 1960s I cam across the Gery Carson quote cited as being from the 1800s. Showing my age here, and Gery's perhaps.
I agree with you completely that knowing your customer's avatar is probably the most useful tool for writing posts one-to-one!

Thanks Richard, regardless of who or when the quote was authored it is a great insight into the mind of success in sales and marketing. If we get stuck chasing everyone as a lead the real leads go to the competition.
