What failure actually is.
My 4 year-old-son likes a lot to play cards now...real cards not those for kids. We live in Austria so he is used with the German type of cards. For me they are completely new, because I am from Moldova (lived many years in Romania) and I am used with the french ones. By the way, only when I came to Austria, I found out that there are different type of cards (it's never too late to learn something new, isn't it ;)? ).
For those who have children, it won't be a surprise when I will say that he likes to win (I am taking advantage of all kind of games to teach him also how to lose. If you learn this when you are a kid, it will be much easier, later in life, when you will have to deal with failure).
Playing with him I noticed some patterns... and they made me think that this happens not only while playing cards, but all the time.
So, sometime it looks like you lost or had bad luck... but because of this bad-luck you end up getting a better opportunity! Every action brings you in a certain places, at a certain moment and with certain people. I believe that we cannot control everything what happens to us, but same time I believe that it depends only on us to open our eyes, see the opportunity and grab it. This is the only way to honor our failures.
Remember: the failure is there to help you to get to the next level. Don't avoid it. Embrace it, learn from it and be thankful that you had it.
I was watching one of Eben Pagan's trainings and he was telling how his daughter asked him once what failure is. After thinking a while, he told her: "Failure means that you get the chance to try again."
I loved his answer and I keep it in mind... not only for me (it really helps to see it from this angle), but also to be able to teach my son that failure is nothing but a chance..., a chance to be, do and have better.
I wish you to fail and to succeed!

Failure is nothing more than redirection to success Ina!
Yes! Just sometimes we forget this :). It is interesting how things change when you change your way of looking at them.
