"Do, or not do, There is no Try" - Yoda
I've been with WA for less than a month and have been plugging away on the training - trying my hardest to follow the system and not jump ahead. I'm currently in my mid-50s and have been an entrepreneur my entire life. I think it started in the 4thgrade when I was selling drawings to my friends for a dime. While in college I established a freelance art business that I still have to this day. Since then I’ve had a design studio, several retail stores, and dabbled in several niche sales organizations. When I see a “program” I usually think I know better and try to short circuit the system and jump ahead to what I deme as “the good stuff.”
When I started WA I committed to following the system not try to out think it. I’m still working on the training but I can say with confidence that following the system is the way to go. There is so much information here to absorb it is best to take it one bite at a time, in the order that it’s presented in the training. Otherwise it will be easy to get lost, overwhelmed and lose interest.
For me one of the best pieces of advice I’ve picked up from Carson it to treat this like a business. It’s not something you “try” it’s something you “do.” I feel like Carson was channeling his inner Yoda, “do, or not do, there is no try.”
This is not a “get rich quick scheme” (I’ve tried enough of those) - it’s a business and it takes time to start a business. So my advice to those following me on this journey it so be patient, do the work, and trust the system. Make no mistake it is work, but the potential of residual income that’s not tied to actively selling a product or service intrigues me.
If you choose the right niche - something you already enjoy, writing about it, researching it and sharing your experiences won’t feel like work.
It will be work, but it can be fun work!

Thanks Laurie. I've been immersing myself in the training and feel like my head is throbbing trying to absorb all this info. I'm struggling to reign myself in and keep from trying to jump ahead.
I'm praying for the patience I need to stay focused and take one step at a time.
