Hi Ileana. I’m certainly no expert as I’m fairly new too, but it got me thinking about how I respond to sites I’m visiting online. That might be your answer. Put yourself in their shoes and ask yourself what you’d say or do. Would you respond or comment? What would it take to get a response from yourself?

I can relate to your situation clearly my dear. Engagement comes from being engaging yourself. SO you need to keep trying to ask people questions relevant to them and that will require them to open up. example how did you approach this or that to get here ? I admire your success , how can you help me ? etc

Yeah, as botipton said, just ask your reads to share their thoughts with you on the topic that you're writing on. That should probably work. Also, as you get more traffic over time, you'll probably end up getting more comments than you can handle!

Ask them a question at the end that is not a yes or no question. That works for me.
