When does copying turn into outright plagiarism?

When posting articles, blogs or other posts in your niche, you are bound to write something similar, to what was already published on some other site, similar as yours.

While doing research on my niche, how to tackle going into it and starting to write things to publish on my website, it got me thinking, that while my content is original (i.e I wrote it), there are a finite things to say about one thing, in a review or a certain type of product.

I freely admit, that I take inspiration and ideas from various pages vaguely similar to mine, I'm not copying any of their content and I do not wish to be called out on it, that I do.

So, has anyone got any experience/insight on this subject? I'd love to hear from you more experienced folk.

You should be ok Igor. As long as the content and though is original, you're fine. In many cases, there are similar things written on Google, but people don't get punished for it. If you're copying in bulks, word for word, that's different.

You do the best you can but sometimes you can inadvertently do this. If you really need to quote something verbatim the use quotation marks around the phrase. (" phrase "). Google doesn't read this at the moment but if you have too much in quotations it will make your site dysfunctional.
