Lifes adventure: Never a straight shot.

So, I've been quiet for a while and our site fell to the wayside. Most might feel that we should not have continued to pay for it. Many would likely have told us to walk away. If life can throw us such a heavy curve ball, then we will never make it. Well, let me explain why none of these people will be successful:

One, I have health issues. Severe ones. They will ALWAYS affect me. If I let the fact that I am suffering or in pain hold me back, then I will never do anything. I will not only miss opportunities like this, I will miss time with my kids, my fiance, fun activities I enjoy, I'll basically miss out on life.

Two, I have never been above poverty line. Never. Not once. I grew up in it, I moved out in it, and I am still struggling to get out of it. If I let money drive me, again, I would give up on everything. Money is not my appetite. I do want to make it well enough off, but that is for my childrens sake- so they can see that hard work and passion can work together to make success. You do NOT have to settle for less, that is a choice.

Three, I LOVE what I am working on. Art is my passion, and games are a near perfect way to show that love. Creation is a major part, not only of making a game, but of playing one as well. This makes them as the theme to our site one of the best things to work on!

People wrote "Don't get cracked up"... Really?? Why not?? If I were here for money as the main reason I would have walked away. If that is why you are here, ok... I hope it works for you, but I am not here because the money will be super-great... I am here because this may give me the freedom to live on what I love. I will get excited!! I will get happy!! I'll get 'cracked up' because I LOVE this choice of work!

I lost the job I had. I only have one regret from that- I won't have money for my daughter's b-day or Christmas... but beyond that sadness, I find joy. I am free to do what I started out to do. Don't try to bring me down- I won't let you. Others have tried. I have had teachers who tole me I couldn't draw well enough to do a project only to prove them wrong by doing it on my own time. I had people tell me I would never graduate college. I now have a bachelors degree in video game art.

Go ahead, I dare you. Say I can't. I'll do it just to show I can...

and for those who have similar naysayers- join me in this. If they say we can't, let's do it... because we know we can.

Bethany, I know you will be ultimately successful because you have the proper "CAN-DO" attitude! The WA platform is a work-at-your-own pace one, which is what I like! Here's to your success!

Jeff

Thanks! I know I have to put a lot more in atm to "catch up" so to speak. We need to have content and we just haven't been able to focus on creating it due to life circumstances. Now that time has been made through unfortunate circumstance (losing my only alternate and main source of income) I plan to pour myself into it. :)
