Squeeze pages. Got some questions.
Hi guys. There is a product on clickbank that I quite like the look of and would like to promote. The products affiliate page has template emails so I'm thinking capturing leads and setting up an autoresponder might be the best way to go about it. I plan to drive traffic to the squeeze page using Bing ads. My understanding of the process is this,
- create squeeze page to capture email addresses
- give free product if available
- follow up emails
- lead becomes a buyer (hopefully)
So my questions...
To create a squeeze page does that mean I need to register a domain? Are there free options for this (siterubix for example)?
For the autoresponder I assume I need the emails coming from a relevant sounding email address (its no good diet advice coming from my music related email address)? Does it need to be an actual live verified email address? Could that be done with a siterubix domain?
Basically, is there a way of doing it that doesn't require me to pay for another domain registration etc?

If you are building the squeeze page yourself, then it is just a page on your current site. If you use a third party like Leadpages, they will host the page for you.
I have had success doing exactly what you are talking about in the weight loss niche and most of my sales came from an offer on the Thank You page.
Here's how it works.
1. I had a squeeze page offering a free report - 3 Simple Tricks to Increase your Metabolism Today!
2. When someone signed up, they would be taken to a Thank You page that says - Thank you! Your email address is being verified and as promised your free report will be sent in 5-10 minutes. While you wait, watch this video and learn to manipulate your metabolism.
Or something to that effect,
The video was a sales video for a clickbank product. I've had success with the venus factor.
3. They would immediately receive an email with the link to the download.
4. An hour later they receive a welcome email which describes who I am and what they can expect from me.
The next day they receive another email, with a "Did you see this" part that shows them the benefits of the offer that they missed.
Etc.

Thanks for the reply JV. Would I use my current site if the clickbank product isn't related to the niche my current site is? Wouldn't potential buyers be put off receiving diet advice from a music blog?
No, that wouldn't work. The other option is Leadpages, or start a site in the diet niche.
My promotion worked because I was in the health and wellness niche.
Hi Hutch, you got the sequence right, but, if you want to have an internet business and make some money you will have to spend some as well.
A domain and hosting is really cheap and it is best to make a small investment to give you a unique advantage over other affiliates in your niche.
You can go to wordpress.com and build a free website there, you only need to register.
It is best if you have an autoresponder service to provide lead capture form, collect your email addresses, send emails and record statistics, you could try mailchimp I think they have a free service to a certain number of email addresses.

As far as I know you add the squeeze page to your website as a subdomain. I saw several squeeze page offers, a cheap and quite functional one is Frontmeter, where you do only a one time payment, while most others ask you monthly contributions. For me, just starting out, all these monthly things are too much....
A friend of mine, (not here) is giving courses in how to do all the email processes, the funnels, to create buyers. The main thing though is, first, to have enough people on your list to know what freebies you give them and what lead offers.
