Do not allow yourself to become discouraged

I want to encourage you not to get disappointed if money doesn't flow in for quite some time. During the first year or two with Wealthy Affiliate, I think the right attitude to have is to realize you are someone in training.

When I compare myself to say a doctor, I consider myself very fortunate.

Training with Wealthy Affiliate is cheap in comparison to train as a doctor - a dollar a day? For a doctor in training, it means going heavily into debt and earning nothing for several years. I could be earning something within 6 months of starting. A doctor would not get that.

When doctors finish their training, they have to continue to work hard, and they get well paid. If they quit working, they no longer get paid. However, for us at Wealthy Affiliate, if we've been through the training and applied the principles learnt to our web-sites, and keep abreast with what is happening in internet marketing, we are likely to generate a regular income without much further effort well into the future.

After 3, 4 or 5 years working hard at Wealthy Affiliate you could be earning an income that is comparable to that of a doctor. You could be earning more.

When I compare myself to a farmer, I say that I am sowing seed that will yield several harvests starting a year or two from when I first sowed the seed.

So, earning money from what you've learnt at Wealthy Affiliate will eventually happen, but until it does, please do not allow yourself to become discouraged.
