Defeat Distraction - Complete the Wealthy Affiliate Online Entrepreneur Certificate Training

I completed the Wealthy Affiliate Online Entrepreneur Certificate Training today and now have the basis upon which to build an income generating business online. It's now all about building out the right content that gets ranked and delivers VALUE as taught here at Wealthy Affiliate.

It hasn't always been easy and to be honest, I have suffered from the number 1 killer of success... DISTRACTION!!

Step 1: Become aware of the Problem

There are many forms of distraction... procrastination, multitasking, information addiction to name but a few. Actually multitasking and information addiction are related. Information addiction is the 'cause' and multitasking is the 'effect'. But, to be honest it's not worth getting into some sort of deep psychoanalysis as to why you are doing this (if indeed, you are suffering from this affliction). It's much more important to recognise the problem first.

Until you 'see' or acknowledge the problem how can you fix it? You are either not aware it's a problem, or you are aware of the problem, but not fully cognizant of the need to fix it. So gaining this awareness is the first and most important stage. I would say it's is 80% of road to recovery or problem solving and success.

So if you are reading this and you know it applies to you, then that is 80% of the problem solved.

Step 2: Use (commit to) the Wealthy Affiliate training as the antidote

There is no magic formula here. You have to WANT to solve the procrastination / multi-tasking problem. If you just say/commit to yourself, that starting Monday, come hell or high water, I am going to complete at least 4 to 5 lessons in the training per week along (with the lesson tasks). Keep the goal in mind that within hardly any time at all I will have completed the training and will be in a position to build an online income generating business for the rest of my life.

Visualise the goal first. 'See' the value that this could bring to your life. This is the 'Why?' that will give you the motivation to actually start 'doing' it, to action your plan and stick to it... hell or high water right! Do it for yourself.

This will get you to 100% of the problem solved.

I have a seperate blog which I setup when I first joined Wealth Affiliate, but it needs a lot more content and the content that is there needs to be rewritten based on the guidance I have gained from the training. My review of Wealth Affiliate (which will be re-written) is in the link below and I have had referrels through it, so just goes to show that even if the content isn't perfect, you can still benefit from it. Write once, generate multiple income streams in the future...

The WA training is designed in 'bite sized' chunks of learning and tasks. It's like a multitasking 'antidote' training design to ensure you don't need to spend hours on each lesson. This is a real bonus and helps you if you do have the distraction tendencies I talked of above. So go ahead and take advantage of that.
