Choosing a new Theme

So I have a little less than 2 months into WA.

I've gone through the training built my first website on mens watches (under my profile if you care to have a look). Chose a theme I thought was classy and clean. Got a lot of good comments on how nice it looked.

Not getting a whole lot of traffic (averaging about 10-40 views a day). Only have 1 sale (not even one of my products another amazon product). I know all this comes in time. I'm getting ready to add a bunch more content to my site

BUT

I started reviewing best amazon affiliate websites; other websites that are niche profitable websites etc and realized my current theme; although it may look clean and somewhat classy, does nothing to capture one's interest above the fold.

Seems that all the sites I've been looking at have much more info and product that you can see without having to scroll down. I don't think I have much at all to capture your interest and without know that there are more posts below the average person might not even go any farther, hence, I believe is the reason I'm having really high bounce rates.

I've already experimented with live preview of a couple themes that I like a lot better now that my knowledge has increased some and will try to finalize one this weekend.

HOW MANY OF YOU ARE IN MY SAME SITUATION AND HOW DID YOU FIGURE OUT WHAT THEME IS BEST FOR YOU?

You can have high bounce rates for basically two reasons... one what you have on your page is not what your traffic is looking for... or two it might be exactly what they are looking for and do not need to click on another page. More importantly, are you getting a good click through rate from your traffic?
Sometimes the keywords we find that we can rank for are not buyer keywords. Instead they are info keywords and attracting tire kickers. You can still promote with these but it is harder to get a sale because some of your visitors may not have any intention of buying anything. They are just "window shopping".

Change your theme only if you are unhappy with it. My only problem with it is the color orange and that is a personal perference. I don't care for orange anything but you can change that if you like. If it suits you... don't change it. It is your site. Just keep working on your content and be sure to get some good buyer keywords in the mix so you are attracting the right kind of traffic.

All my best to you.
