3.5 Months status report

Ok so I've been at this for 3.5 months.

What have I accomplished?

4 websites - 1 not so good really didn't know what I was doing. Decent amount of content on most of them and steady adding.

All the training. Even done a lot twice.

Meet some great people really willing to help.

I've made a total of $1.54 so far.

What have I learned?

I WAY underestimated the difficulty in creating good content. When I chose my niches I kept thinking, yea I can write about that a lot......little harder to put in practice than theory. I still have yet to figure out how someone makes a very specific niche but then can find enough material to write tons of posts and pages. This keeps me scratching my head.

I have learned tons about the online marketing profession that I really knew nothing about. I learned I should have started this much earlier in my career so I could be doing it full time now. I really enjoy it.

My computer skills have increased tremendously and my working knowledge of social platforms is a hell of a lot better.

I learned if you post a question in WA or search for an answer and you don't get a reply or find an answer then the question probably didn't need asked.

I've learned to pair down my readings of all the WA emails I get. I still read every single one of them from certain users because I know I'm going to learn something but I tend to not pay much attention to the other ones.

I've learned kind of a clearer path forward to achieve my objectives. I know what my weaknesses are and I sort of know what right looks like its getting the time and energy after working all day at another job to bridge the two together.

You don't get good quality articles by paying a Fiverr person to do it. I've hired out some article writing; didn't know where to go so hired a Fiverr person to do it. It's amazing that when you get in this biz how you learn to really read posts with a critical eye. I've been given some crap articles BUT I consider them a starting point to get my creative juices flowing and I end up rewriting most of them. Additionally you don't get good traffic from Fiverr services either. Just a bunch of bots even when they say they don't use them. How else can someone spend 1 second on the site?

What Do I plan on doing now to earn more?

Keep reviewing the training; go over and over it until it's second nature.

Keep learning from Facebook groups etc. There is really some good training and posts when you join the right groups; you just have to sort through what is beneficial and what isn't.

Take a good hard look at why I'm not converting sales. I found out I actually know some people in the business here locally; had no idea that's what they did, so I plan on spending some time with them to have them analyze my websites and try to get some advice.

It really took me awhile to develop a routine that is efficient for me. I think I'm close on that one now.

Keep learning and refining Facebook ads and branch out into bing. Also find more groups I can join that have my niche.

When I started this I didn't have any disillusions of grandeur. I really believed that it would take me a year to start making some kind of monthly money.

You can think that way but it's hard to believe you're not making nothing before that point even though you're putting so much time into it and spending money (my choice on ads etc).

Through all this I continue to stay motivated though. Luckily I have a full time job that pays me pretty well (I don't like it though), no real responsibilities outside myself (my kids are grown and I live alone, so its not an immediate thing that I have to produce to be able to live and eat. I keep thinking about all the people that have many more worries than me; especially single moms that have to balance kids, work, money, bills etc and tell myself if they can make this work I certainly can.

I congratulate everyone that stays motivated and puts in the time and effort to achieve their goals. I thank everyone that provides guidance and advice on this forum.

I might not get exactly where I want to be in a year, but I guarantee it will be a few steps closer than I am now !

This pretty much sums it up !

Well done with your progress. I'm sorry you learned the hard way about Fiverr! You do get what you pay for with content unfortunately. If you do wish to outsource, think about looking at a freelance site such as Upwork. It will cost you more, but the quality will be far better.

Wow that is amazing and it makes me feel lazy!!!!!

That is such good progress , well done. You will surpass your goals I am sure.

Looks like you have the determination. That is a great asset to have to succeed. Gook Luck.
