Have Not Been Active, but Did Not Disappear! 10 Months In

My last blog post here was in April, just past my 7 month mark. Since then, life has been a whirlwind!

We sold our house and bought a new one. We moved. I taught a month of summer school for 3rd graders. We are about to leave tomorrow for vacation.

Things have just been very hectic. I'm sad to say I have not written as many blog posts the past few months as I wished to. I'm still not writing as frequently as I want to be. I'm just barely hanging on, and I'm afraid I haven't been treating my site like a business.

Despite my excuses, I know I could have made the time and I didn't. Thankfully there is always a chance to redeem myself.

Since April, I've aimed for at least a post a week. Sometimes there were two week stints between posts. But I never gave up and I'm still here!

Even though I haven't created as much new content as I would have liked to, I do have some. I also published a Youtube video today (also my first one since April). I'm hoping to be back in the swing of things soon.

Despite not being as active as I should have been, I have enjoyed increased search traffic. That was nice! In the last 30 days, I've had 4.8k users and 6.4k sessions. I will say the majority of this traffic is from Pinterest, but the amount I'm getting from Google is still going up.

I do usually make a few sales per day, but I still have the issue of having 5% commission rates on cheap items, so I'm not rolling in the dough by any means.

However, from the day of my first sale to today, I have made a cumulative $480.75. In my last blog post 3 months ago, I had only reported a total of 106.54. So I have had my best sales these past few months.

Now I just need to work on growing! I need to find more lucrative products to promote and keep growing my traffic so I can apply for Mediavine. I'm only just over 25% of the amount of sessions I need to qualify, so this is still a long term goal.

Anyway, I just wanted to drop a note and say I didn't quit or give up. I'm here! I am hoping to start being around more now and jump back into the community to learn, learn, learn.
