New Websites: Quantity or Quality?
I have read some conflicting advice for those working on brand new websites with few articles and little to no authority.
Leaving all other SEO aspects aside, some bloggers and online marketers suggest that you focus on publishing frequency (at least 3 posts a week), thus showing Google and other search engines that your website is constantly updated. Other suggest you target keywords with VERY LOW competition (QSR lower than 30 or 40) and write very long and carefully researched articles (at least 2500 words).
It goes without saying that those who have enough time should do both, but what if you have to make a choice? Would you spend the whole week writing a detailed article targeting very low competition keywords (which you may take a while to find) after doing a lot of research on that topic or would you just select some keyword with less than 100 QSR and write three or four 1000-word article a week?
Intuitively, I would say that the second strategy is a better way to gain authority, but I may be wrong. What's your take on this?
Stay well!

Both theories are valid, you need a balance.
I would say post frequently, at 1500 words/wk and post useful contents. The low qsr is helpful, but I have not yet master the concept of keyword search fully.
Thanks, jd!
