Google isn't the internet.
Google fired someone yesterday for simply expressing their opinion. You may want to read this first. https://gizmodo.com/exclusive-... Whatever you think of the memo and the person who wrote it, retaliation is not supposed to be a reason for firing someone. Not only that but apparently, he was making complaints to the Federal labor board about working conditions at Google, for people who believe the opposite the company believes. http://www.nationalreview.com/...
Not only that but there's evidence that Google breaks the internet with it's pagerank updates and/or tweaks. Let's go back to 2014. If anyone hasn't heard of metafilter, it's a community blog that's been around since 1999. In early 2014/late 2013, their adsense earnings were dropping like a rock. You might wonder why I'm posting all this here. You might also ask well, what does that mean for SEO etc? What it means is that SEO should be for every search engine out there, not just Google. I currently use DuckDuckGo as my search engine, you can find them at https://duckduckgo.com What about those who use Bing etc? Yeah people do use that, I have a friend who does. I guess the important thing we all should learn from this, is that there are alternatives out there. I've changed my primary email from a Google address to a Lavabit one, (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lavabit,) and I'm uninstalling Crhome, yeah you got that right I'm going to be uninstalling Chrome. For WA I use something called Epic Privacy Browser, (http://epicbrowser.com,) which is based on Chrome. There are decent alternatives to everything out there, including adsense, they may not pay as much but the more people start using them and stop using adsense, it will definitely pay off.

Lol so WA doesn't exist huh? What about your blog(s) if you have them? Do those exist? If so they exist on the major internet apart from Google. If Google decided that WA was a spam site one day, they'd be fine, because they have a lot of premium members. They'd probably see a drop in traffic, though.
Unfortunately Microsoft is still crawling behind Google as far as their browser goes. I like Edge and it has fantastic features but it is often slow and jumps into "non-responding" state for several seconds on websites and pages Chrome never has any issue.
Google is under fire though especially in Europe and I hope that will help things in general.

And I registered my website on both as well. At this point Google not yet has a worthy rival, but MS is trying and I do hope they will come to that level soon.
Well I still use Firefox and don't have any problems with it. Meaning I don't have issues with the browser itself. Of course websites are all developed differently and they work with different things. Thus the reason why I keep 2 browsers, (not including IE and Edge, which I hardly ever use,) and 2 screen readers around. Just because I use Firefox, it doesn't mean I'm not willing to switch to something else that's better and not Google. I'm using the Epic Privacy Browser to type this right now. http://epicbrowser.com, it's based on the open source version of Chrome. Otherwise, I uninstalled Chrome, but I need something for WA because there are some issues with it in FF, and it's one of the only sites I have problems with.
I've heard Bill Gates has done some pretty horrendous stuff with his foundation just because he is so big and that forced adult vaccinations are on the way just like forced computer updates are already happening...I'm not sure microsoft are the ones to be dominating either...no one should be that big really
No of course MS shouldn't be dominating either. But it could make a decent competition. And when there are two of the same service/product type then they force each other to be better for the client (us). Google needs a competition.
I'm currently using DuckDuckGo for search. https://duckduckgo.com. It uses Bing and Yahoo for it's search results. Of course it also pulls results from Wikipedia, etc. There are quite a few others out there. Looks like I need to make a list post.
I'm definitely not a Liberal. I don't really care what other people do as long as it doesn't infringe on me. I'm definitely not part of the crowd mentality that agrees with going back and forth. As I said it is what it is.
I believe this is called a "Monopolistic Mentality", when Google holier than thou believes they can get away with any type of behavior. Good rant!

google is a dictator and anyone who disagrees with mainstream propaganda online is in danger of losing freedom of speech and business going forward - what about the vaccines issues and alternative medicine -how long before people are dropped in rank for speaking about that when google decides what is 'truth', it already allows certain sites of similar opinions to dominate and not much to do with SEO...!

I'm not much interested in the identity politics driving that, but I am interested in facts. Otherwise this really is an Orwellian world with Google acting as the Ministry of Truth.
