Parenting and Creative Crafts over the Generations
Three GenerationsIf there are the last three generations and we're doing a survey on parents who teach there children Creative Crafts over the years and what kind of issues they may have had.
We have Grandmother, #1. Then there is the Mother, #2. And last is the Daughter, #3. There is #1 Grandmother who raised her children up in the 20's and 30's when children grew up with chores and school was all of there days job, and it took the whole day... up at dawn, all chores start, then there's school, and the arts are taught at home by the parents, after school the chores began all over until super time. They appeared to have a lot of issues keeping them from a lot of the thing that we do today.
Then we have Mother #2. A lot of the children growing up in the 40's and 50's went to provocial schools, the kids were growing just a little more incorrigible than they were in the days of old... with #1 and most of our parents needed help in teaching there kids. What issues did they have? Cutting school, fighting, bullying, gangs, and then there were clicks... All of these thing made it hard to teach the children to learn with there own Creativity. But when they did get that wonderful Creativeness into these kids they loved it, they could take there minds anywhere.
Finally we have #3 the daughter, raising her children up in the 60's, 70's and 80's what a group this generation has become... now these children are more than willing to learn all the creativeness that we could teach them, they not only about the issue of working with there hands but this is also the day of the LSD, AND MESCALINE. Arts and Crafts took a back seat for sure to the partiers.
Parents have definantly had some tuff issues over the years raising up there children, they have never made it easy, even with in the families they have the different cultures, lives events, and these things should make it easy to have something to talk about at the super table.
So here is to all of you still raising children, I know how woderful and yet trying at the same time... having and raising my two children was the single most best thing that I have ever done in my whole life... So here's to Parents, and there children.

Great post!
It is true that raising children is a wonderful moment in our life that does not last very long because children grow up so quickly. There is an African quote that says, "It takes a whole village to educate a child." So even if as parents we do not always have time to be there for them because of our professional life, there will always be the sister, the grandmother, the aunt, our best friends, the godparents or other people who are important to us who will be there to help us grow our children.

Parenting is the hardest yet most important thing parents need to do... it’s sad that our society has made it so most couples as parents have each work at a forty hour or more out of the home...
I know when I grew up we had ten other moms that were home as well as our own ... all keeping an eye.. ear.. and offering up their creativity as well... WA offers a means that again Mom’ s and in some cases even the Dad’s could be home ...helping to nurture their kids creativity...
Great Post ... great success in raising kids
It is not easy
Thanks

I really enjoyed this post. We have 4 generations still living in our family and often times discuss the differences between the generations. One central theme is that all of us maintained love, respect and family values that have carried down through the years and generations. Thank you for this.'
