When you allow the small things to get you off task
What are you chasing?
I heard a story just recently so this is not my story, but this is my understanding.There
was a Crow which flew down off of the power pole to grab a piece of bread from the sidewalk. There was a dog near by that saw the crow trying to eat the bread and prevented the crow from eating. As the dog ran up the crow flew back up to the power
pole. He tried again but the dog chased him away again. The crow tried several more times with the same results. So, the crow got smart. Instead of landing near the bread it landed a few yards away from the bread.
The dog gave chase to the crow but the crow simply flew away. The crow landed a little further still and the dog gave chase. This back and forth kept going until the dog
was on the next block far enough away from the food that the crow now had time to fly down to the bread grab it and fly away before the dog was aware or had time to get
to the crow.
What's the lesson here - what are you chasing?
Are you allowing people, things, or crows to draw you away from your dreams? Are you focused enough on your dream, on your goal that nothing can move you from your spot or are you allowing simple tricks to get you far enough off of your possession that it can easily be stolen or manipulated that it no longer is yours but now belongs to someone else?
I challenge you to get re-focused on your goal or start one.

Great post James, it reminds me of the bright shiny object syndrome. It is so easy to get distracted, that we need a reminder to focus on our goals.
