Time For Change
Anyone else slow moving on this platform?? I swear, I'm moving at a turtle's pace. It's not for lack of desire and I truly don't even think it's lack of work ethic but there are definitely areas for improvement to assure that I reach my goals and those are the things I'm focusing on.
For instance, can you believe that I've never actually put my goals down on paper?! I have heard so many successful life coaches talk about how important it is to have written goals and a plan to reach them. But do I have them written out? Nope. Why? There's literally no excuse for this.
Another thing I've just recently learned is that I am NOT in fact "a great multitasker". Lol! I think it was Kyle who blogged about this earlier in the week and it was one of the most eye-opening things I'd ever read- hit me like a ton of bricks. He talked about the importance of focusing on one thing at a time. He went on to say that people who think they are great multi-taskers usually never are and that they are the people who don't get things done. (raises hand) Talk about conviction!
I have said this countless times, "I'm a great muti-tasker" but lo and behold....I am not. It was somewhat painful to recognize but I am so grateful to have recognized it now, so that I can work to change it moving forward.
The thing is, there are some legitimate obstacles to work around but I have given too much power and space to things that are not legitimate. I have two kids and I work full time. These things alone can present some time management opportunities to tackle. That being said, there is time and that's where the opportunity lies.
I truly believe that we have everything we need inside of us to take on any challenge we're presented with but sometimes there is personal growth that needs to happent to conquer ourself first.
So here we are... a few months into my membership with Wealthy Affiliate and what I CAN say I'm proud of is that I haven't quit. What I can say needs work is my focus and time management. And what I can say I'm proud of is the progress I've made on my website. I love how it's coming together even if it's been slow.
I am almost through Level 2 of the training so moving forward, I will adjust my time management and focus and when I check back in, hopefully I will be writing a different type of check in.
I so appreciate everyone's help with the various questions and trainings! It's such a fabulous community of people here!

Hi Holly. I think that many, including myself, try to multi-task.
In the corporate world, this is considered a plus but I am of the opinion that it is not multi-tasking that is good it is being able to move from one task to another without too much effort - just thinking.
Just keep working towards your goal and if you don't have one start writing down notes on what you think your goal should be as you work on various parts of the training and writing.
In the end, if we can develop our short term and long term goals and write a simple plan it should make things easier in the future.
This is what I am starting to do, I hope it will help you.
Blessings
