Good question and all questions are good ones here.....
If you have your domains hosted here at WA, they might be renewal notices? ... normally, email notifications are sent about a month for renewal and it depends on whether you turned the auto-renewal on or off perhaps? ....
Suggest for you to provide a screenshot of what you see as it would help us to possibly help you better .... for clarity sake....

I'm not sure, but I think what you are seeing as on and off, is the domain registration auto renewal function. One domain is set for auto renewal when it comes do each year and the other one isn't.
It won't be an issue. You will get a notification when the other domain registration is due.

Did you do the whole EPP code thing and such?
Websites > Site Domains is one place to look.
Performing a whois search on your domain and taking note of the registrar and name servers is another.
Other than that, reach out to Site Support.

I'm not sure what the EPP code thing is, but I checked with ICANN WhoIS, and the old registrar is still showing. When I spoke to the old registrar (godaddy), the tell me that there's nothing else for them to do on their side and that they no longer see the domain. Their suggestion was to check with the receiving registrar,
I thought that I'd submitted this question via SiteSupport, but I may have been mistaken (I'll check again, and possibly resubmit).

You have to answer yes to the first option when opening a ticket with site support or it gets routed to the WA community.

Here is a link to a downloadable plugin to further help you. I use the free version and is easy to use and works great.

This sounds like a "mixed content" issue SSL: Activation, No Padlock, Mixed Content and Google Search Console
Thanks for your excellent information Marion. I have gone through the video and made some changes as you recommend. As an additional data point: One of the images I'd included from an affiliate partner (not WA) was contributing to the issue on one of my posts, so I simply removed it and now things appear fine (all secure).
