Printing... In 3D
OK ! I have been so busy the last 2 months with tweaking and fine-tuning the 3D printer that I haven't had any time to do marketing!
I have had more than my fair share of headaches and hiccoughs with 3D printing. Some results were very good and other not so good. Currently I am waiting for more spares to arrive so that I can get this monster running again.
For those of you who doesn't know 3D printing :
- It's a technology developed in the 1980's , mainly
- It is now becoming almost affordable
- It's a very long and slow printing process - definitely not for mass production but only for creating a few unique items
- If you can think and design something you can print it - the only limitation is size!
- You can get some pre-assembled printers - they say "print right out the box" but it's not quite that simple.
I seem to be unable to add pictures to this blog?

Have you been in the 3D printing world for a long time now ? Sounds you frustration coming out the top of your head :P How long do you have to wait for the spares?
Hi Rohan - I recently built the 3D printer! I get spares via overnight delivery from Durban so the wait is not too long.
From Durban? Interesting... I take it you are fellow South African then? I can't remember if we have had this conversation before or not? lol

Hi there, maybe you can give me some pointers to good sites about 3D printing. I've started a site about 3D printed guitars. I've not used a 3D printer myself as yet but I think it's definitely an area that's going to blossom. Here's my site: guitar.everythingprint3d.com. Let me know what you think.
