Don't be a Wealthy Unhealthy WAer!

I hope each of you will become a wealthy WAer and will also want to achieve optimum health along the way!. Either, without the other, is of limited benefit and pleasure.

Achieving either is relatively simple, but not easy. Some of the necessities for wealth are:

  • Always live on less than your income.
  • That means learning to distinguish between your wants and your needs.
  • Spend as little of your income as possible on things that decrease in value.
  • Learn about interest. When it is beneficial and when it will prevent wealth.
  • Grow yourself as a person so you become comfortable with wealth.
  • Learn to be grateful for all you already have so even more will want to be with you.
  • Learn that the richness is in what you become while accumulating wealth.

To achieve optimum health:

  • Realize that each of you trillions of cells will be repaired or replaced as they are injured, become sick or die.
  • Think about what you are giving your body to use for raw materials to make them from.
  • Equate this thought with what you know. Like with your computer: garbage in:garbage out. With the body: Poor nutrition to your cells:poor quality new cells produced=less than optimum health.
  • The body needs: lots of nutrient dense foods with a lot of variety and color.
  • Cells must be well hydrated to be healthy. Ideally with ionized and alkalinized water but at a bare minimum water filtered of a lot of poisons like insecticides, pesticides, fluoride, chlorine and other toxic chemicals.
  • For optimum health the body must be active, either physical work or exercise works fine.
  • We must take whatever steps necessary to have a life relatively free of stress.
  • We must be at relative peace with our self, our relationships and our world. Carrying anger, hate or lacking forgiveness of our self and others is detrimental to health.

My hope for each WA member is that:

  • You will approach each day with a definite game plan for the day.
  • That you will not throw it away or ignore it if you don't follow it perfectly.
  • That you will do one or two things EACH DAY towards your plan to be wealthier and healthier by the end of 2015. You each deserve both and no one else can provide either for us.

Best wishes to each of you.

Harold

Thank you Marion and also thank you for all of the info you have made available to all of us the past year.
Harold

Hey Harold, great post and a Happy New Year to you!

Ben, thanks for your note and for helping educate me the past year. Hope you have a great one.
Harold

Harold, This one is filled with gems. Thank you for such a purposeful posting. Happy New Year. donna

Thank you Donna. I have been following along wondering how you can keep up with so many grand children and remember who belongs to which. I hope you are all set for a great year. Best wishes.
Harold

Harold, you make me laugh. The good lord above helps me keep track. The grandchildren's stocking this year have their numbers on them, along with one of the printed pictures and a blank coloring picture of the 12 days of Christmas. Hopefully by having that symbol they will easily remember their own number. That's a more difficult thing to remember than you might think. But, of course, I know who belongs to whom. They all belong to ME!! And my hubby, of course. lol

Hey, Donna, I feel better just knowing it is a struggle!
Harold

Oh my goodness you do make me laugh...that's a fantastic thing!!

Happy New Year wise man Harold! Luckily I'm pretty healthy for my age but I've still a lot to learn to achieve my goal.
Wilfried

Hey Wilfried, I think it may be only when we get older that we realize how much we don't know. I hope things are going well for you.

Harold

Those of us who work in health care are the most likely to have shortcomings in this area. We are so involved in caring for others that we neglect ourselves. I am trying to do better.

I remember some one pointing out yrs. ago that a shoe shine man usually had un-shined shoes, a barber usually needed a hair cut and Drs. tend to be overweight and used to frequently smoke. I guess it is always easier to see other's problems? Best wishes for a great yr.
Harold

I tell my clients, "If you would see my house, you would not let me in to clean yours." Then I tell the story of the two barbers. One was immaculate. The other was rough-shaven with a botched haircut. The new man in town chose the latter barber. The barbers barbered each other.

Thank you, Harold, for the great advice.

I also posted on my site (albeit much more briefly than you did here) about the importance of taking breaks and focusing on more than just making money or worrying about money.

Health is a necessity. "Health before wealth," "Healthy, wealthy, and wise".

Also, it's very hard to be productive, optimistic, focused, and diligent if you're not feeling your best. In short, no monetary success without health.

Happy New Year and all the Best!
Lincoln

Wow! Lincoln, I can't believe how much knowledge you have in areas that are all still like a foreign language to me. I understand totally what you are saying about not having the last half of your plan. I truly believe that in order to be profitable an employer cannot possibly pay employees what they are worth. That would leave no profit for those taking the risks and doing the worrying. The CEO, stockholders, etc. When you get squared away and better oriented I think you will find the proverbial pot at the end of the rainbow. I am really going to enjoy following you and learning from you.
