All the plugins we have talked about so far are Wordpress plugins, but I am wondering if it is also ok for us to install plugins which are not Wordpress.

In the very least they will require you put some custom code snippets into your wordpress pages and they can be used.

jacobwh,

Thanks for your feedback. Yes these are standalone softwares.

yeah they should be fine… most of them probably submit your site or do various things. They will be “compatible” with wordpress.. but they are not “integrated” with it via plugin etc.. Unless you find a plugin that works with them as well.

Thanks jacobwh.

The softwares you are referring I believe are stand alone right? So they can be used with any site.

Hi All,

Thanks for your feedback. Based on your responses to my question I realised that I might not have used the correct term for what I really wanted to ask. I used the expression " non Wordpress."

What I really meant was "Commercial." I am referring to plugins such as "Magic Submitter","Loki Link Builder", "Pingfresh", "Keyword Retriever" and any other similar plugins. Are we allowed to use these on our sites?

You can add any plugins you like that are compatible with WordPress
I have many on my site, the plugins will tell you that they are WordPress plugins when you upload them
If you purchase plugins like I do, they will tell you that they are WordPress plugins

Thanks bazboy247.

It is impossible.

Thanks for your feedback masamir. I added another comment to clarify what my question was really meant to be.

I don't think thats possible.

Thanks for your feedback cheick55. I added another comment to clarify what my question was really meant to be.

Unfortunately, you can't do that. Plugins that are not designed for Wordpress will not install at all. All plugins will have to be current and compatible with the version of wordpress you are using. Thus you cannot install old wp plugins that are not compartible with the wp version you are using

Are you able to say what type of plugin you need. There are virtually every wp plugin for every purpose. I am sure we can give you some suggestions if you indicate what you require.

Thanks for your feedback TKay42. I added another comment to clarify what my question was really meant to be.

You need to clarify that a bit. If you are using wordpress for your site then only plugins that are designed for wordpress would work. If you have your hosting here then the servers are for wordpress only.

Thanks for your feedback teacup. I added another comment to clarify what my question was really meant to be.

I am sure it is...these are the ones they found most helpful starting out......however there are 1000's of plugins out there to simplify your site....WA is all about that they just wanted to make sure you had the necessities.

I have made 2 previous requests but I have not received any responses. I would like to know if I am on the right track in terms of layout and presentation. I would like to know

No problem, just want the site to be one of the best.

Hello I just checked out ur website and have to say its very well done! Great job:)

Thanks for your feedback moldo183. Your comment is appreciated.

I like it, I do agree with Bis about Headlines, subheadings and images.
You need to change "Learn and practise regularly." It is in the same paragraph twice, correct spelling is practice. Do you want me to ask a question or leave a remark on the page for people to see "prime the pump" so to speak, or do the remarks stay there?

MagicMargie, I appreciate your feedback and I have made the corrections. Thanks for pointing them out. When I changed "practised" to "practiced" it was corrected by spell check with an "s" instead of a "c."

Whichever way you choose to "prime the pump" will be just great for me and will be appreciated just the same.

I like the site!! Nice, well done!

Thank you Rawb. I appreciate your feedback.

I have just left you a comment. Could you leave me yours on www.masteraffiliate.org

Masamir, thanks for your comment. I will be commenting on your site but I am going to spend some time in going through everything first so that I can make a meaningful comment.

Hello Heron

Congratulations for getting your site up and running.
A couple of things you may want to think about:

1. Your font is too small and therefore quite difficult to read.
2. You need to up the size of some of your images. eg WA Review. People generally look at headlines, subheadings, images and captions first before deciding to read the text - so you need to make them count.
3. Right sidebar - get rid of unnecessary information eg Meta, Archives, Recent comments. You can always put something back later.

I'm not terribly keen on the navigation. It puzzled me. :) Beverley

Beverley, thank you for your feedback. I will definitely make the changes.
I have tried to change the size of the font but it seems to be built into the theme. I might have to consider using a different theme.
I am not sure I understand your comment on the navigation. Can you explain what you mean please?

Navigation: how to find your way round the site. You have the pages listed in the homepage - but I have no idea what the homepage is - so I don't really know where I'm supposed to start .

Beverley

Beverley, the home page is the "Getting Started" page and the navigation is in the sidebar to the right on every page. I am only able to have this layout because of the theme I am using. I guess if people are having problems with the navigation I will have to change this theme.
Thanks for your feedback. I am willing to make any change so that my visitors can have a pleasant experience and want to return.

Looks fine, might be an idea to put an optin page somewhere to start building your list.. :-)

Thanks Sotiris 1, I plan to put an optin form but because I already have the Started Membership form there I did not do so, but it is in the plans.

Looking good John keep up the good work.

Thanks Alan.
