Turning Over a New Leaf
Have you read Kyle's blog about becoming an ambassador? If not I highly recommend that you read it. It has certainly motivated me to turn over a new leaf and start engaging more and creating more on this platform.
To be fully transparent here are my rankings today (22/01/2022):

Pretty poor by anyone's standards - but it is all changing from and including today. One of the reasons I am writing this blog today is to use this blog as a record and as my silent accountability partner. I am a great believer in accountability partners although I don't have one at the moment.
I hope that you will read Kyle's blog if you haven't done so yet and take it to heart because helping others and engaging with others is what makes the internet so powerful. Who better to help than our fellow WA members?
So if you have some knowledge that you have been keeping under your hat, why not use Kyle's blog as the catalyst to start sharing it and changing lives by becoming an ambassador.
I am curious to find out how long it will take, but I will be using his tips to speed me on my way.
BTW If you need any help let me know and even if I don't have all the answers I will point you in the direction of someone who does.

It's good for users to help others, but don't just copy & paste something just to get closer to the Ambassador top 25. So many are not reading and understanding users questions. They are simply replying quickly with something go to training or pasting someone's work that has no relation to the questions asked.
I was one of these users that asked questions, and got pasting of blog post in no relation to the questions I asked.
If ambassador is what you want to achieve go for it, but would spend my time with content building more traffic to my websites.

Oh Hilary, don't fall for this! Read Diane, Feigner and Apache 's comments on Kyle's post for some context. Think about what you are doing before diving into it.
Of course everyone has their own opinion. Mine is that Kyle, Carson and Jay have more than earned their places at the top of the rankings and they set a great example to the rest of us. Why anyone would begrudge them their 1,2 and 3 ambassador rankings is a mystery to me.
As I mentioned in my post I am going to use my rankings as motivation to create more, engage more and generally be more helpful in the community. I am certainly not going to have any sleepless nights about climbing the ambassador ranking ladder.
I look upon my ambassador ranking from the perspective of "What Gets Measured Gets Done"

We know that your rank will get lower (closer to #1) because involvement in the WA community does that. .
