How many of us have fallen for some scam, in hopes that we could make life a little better for our family and loved ones? I know that I can raise my hand, although sheepishly, for that one. My heart is for my God and for my family. Those things have to come first. I've laid aside jobs and positions, and desires because of those principles. I don't regret it. God has a time for everything.

As of August of last year, I left my full time position to homeschool our youngest son, who is in the 6th grade. I do what I can to contribute to our household, but not at the expense of the things I hold dear. So, I may not be moving through the WA trainings as quickly as I would like to. I may not be where some people are that started even after me. But, I am moving ahead. Step by step, going forward.

It's one thing that I have learned over the years I've homeschooled my children. I can't think about 13 years of homeschooling all at once, or even just one year. It's too overwhelming! I have to break it down into quarters, weeks, and days. And then I just concentrate on the day that I'm in. Checking off the next thing on list, and the next. Pretty soon, the day is accomplished. Then the week, and then the quarter. My child grows and is successful in learning. It doesn't happen overnight. It's just like laying bricks, one upon the other. Cemented, and set straight. Not rushing too quickly, and trying to keep my life balanced. So, I'm going to persevere ( Lord willing ) day by day, steadily checking off the next thing on my list. To Jesus be all the Glory!
